Dr. Wolfgang Wodarg, born in 1947, is a German physician and international health expert, long active in anti-corruption work - with a particular focus on "Corruption in Health Care" and "Institutional Corruption". He is an honorary member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (where he was head of the Health Committee), former health politician (1994-2009), initiator and speaker of the Enquete Commission "Ethics and Law of Modern Medicine", author and university lecturer. His European initiatives and reports brought important topics such as "Fake Pandemic" - corruption at the WHO, the role of media for democracy (establishment of a Europe-wide media monitoring), palliative medicine, genetic testing and GMOs (development of green genetic engineering in the states of the Council of Europe) or private military companies (threat to the state monopoly on the use of force) onto the political agenda. In 2009-2010, he was the initiator of the Council of Europe's H1N1 "Fake Pandemic" investigations. In an honorary capacity, he was a patient representative for the Rheumaliga and the SoVD in several committees from 2010 to 2021.
