Suzanne Wetanson grew up on Long Island, New York with an innate love for horses, wanting to be an accomplished equestrian but lacking the talent. Her writing career began as a reporter for the Nassau Herald Newspaper where she maintained a weekly social column. After moving to the city with her three children, she began sculpting in stone and casting in bronze. Each summer was spent in Italy near the marble quarries of Carrara and foundries of Pietra Santa. Her work is depicted in her book, “A Memoir In Sculpture,” and has been exhibited in New York City, Southampton and Italy. Her book “Conceiving Luc” relates the breakthrough technology and emotional roller-coaster of invitro-fertilization, surrogacy and the legal changes that followed.
