Mattias Boström is the author of the EDGAR AWARD, ANTHONY AWARD and MACAVITY AWARD nominated and AGATHA AWARD winning "From Holmes to Sherlock". Mattias Boström, born 1971, is a Swedish author, publisher, and Sherlock Holmes expert. He is a member of the Baker Street Irregulars and has been an active Sherlockian for thirty years, publishing articles and editing books and booklets on the subject. The Swedish edition of "From Holmes to Sherlock" won the nonfiction award from the Swedish Crime Writers’ Academy and was shortlisted for the prize for Best Swedish Nonfiction Book of the Year. "From Holmes to Sherlock" is a narrative nonfiction book on the history of the Sherlock Holmes success. Originally published in Swedish in 2013, it has also been translated into Danish, Norwegian and German. The English version, published in August 2017, is revised, updated and 20% longer. The US title of the book is "From Holmes to Sherlock: The Story of the Men and Women Who Created an Icon", and in the UK the same book has the title "The Life and Death of Sherlock Holmes". Mattias Boström lives outside Stockholm with his wife and two daughters.
