I spent my childhood in the beautiful cathedral city of Durham, which has often appeared as a setting in my novels. I moved to Canada where I worked as a teacher and a freelance writer. I studied Advanced Creative Writing with Pulitzer Prizewinning author, Dr. Carol Shields and received many local arts council grants for my work. I love writing in all genres. My historical novel, THE SAVAGE INSTINCT(Inkshares) came out on May 18 2021 to great critical acclaim, receiving a starred review on Publishers Weekly. THE PITMAN'S DAUGHTER (Amazon 2013) has been featured with many bookclubs and has appeared on Amazon Bestseller lists. My contemporary suspense THE SECRET SISTER (Canelo March 2021) is an Amazon Bestseller and will be followed by THE PERFECT FAMILY MAN (October 21 2021). I also write YA and have a best selling sci-fi trilogy THE FOREVERS, THE PARASITES, THE FEEDERS (Amazon 2014) as well as a contemporary YA suspense, CHASING A THRILL (Amazon 2013). I'm an avid reader, an eager painter and love getting outside for walks, even in the depths of winter.
