Liz Cooper enjoys writing funny stories about resilient young characters dealing with unique challenges. In the Potts-Abilities series, some of the situations in her stories were actual situations she experienced as an elementary school teacher, resource teacher, and school system language arts supervisor. Yes, there really were student shoes stuck in the ceiling and a bathroom sink that disappeared!
Liz is also passionate about promoting literacy. She has a master's degree in reading education and works with parents in order to help them share the joy of reading with their children.
Illustrating the Plinky Witch series herself has been so much fun! Often, Liz will start a drawing first, and then creates the story around that drawing.
Liz loves to kayak on the Potomac River in Maryland. Of all her pastimes, writing is her favorite! She resides in Maryland with her husband and two pet cats.
