Joe Okonkwo's debut novel JAZZ MOON, a story set against the backdrop of the Harlem Renaissance and glittering Jazz Age Paris, was published by Kensington Books in 2016. Mr. Okonkwo is a Pushcart Prize nominee whose stories and essays have appeared in Promethean, Penumbra Literary Magazine, Chelsea Station, Shotgun Honey, Cooper Street, Storychord, Read it Forward, and Best Gay Stories 2015. He serves as prose editor for Newtown Literary and, starting in 2017, he will take the reins as editor of the Best Gay Stories anthology published by Lethe Press. Mr. Okonkwo earned an MFA in Creative Writing from City College of New York.
