Ana Campoy was born in Madrid in 1979, and since her childhood has felt an irresistible attraction towards books and cinema. After finishing her studies of Audiovisual Communication she worked in several fields, including film, television and radio, with credits to her name as performer, radio host and screenwriter. She is also journalist and creative writing teacher. Campoy is the author of Family on the run (2018- , Loqueleo-Santillana), Arturo Leal and the ghost dog (2019, SM), All that bind us (2018, Anaya), The Alfred & Agatha Series (2011- 2015, Edebé) , Park Güell’s Dragon (2015, La Galera), I’m a Superhero Series (2015, Edebé), The Quixote (2015, La Galera), Lazarillo of Tormes (2016, La Galera) both adapted for children and Discovering Madrid (2014, La Galera). Her books have been a success in Spain therefore the rights have been sold to France, China, Italy, Greece, Poland, Turkey, Romania and Slovenia. Beyond this, Ana Campoy coordinates children’s writers line-up and panels in the International Festival of Fantastic Literature Celsius 232, celebrated each summer in Avilés (Spain). She also collaborates in Jot Down, Jot Down Kids and Canino magazines as journalist. Campoy currently devotes her full time to literature, writing and attending encounters with readers in schools, trying to teach them creativity.
