About this listen

I am an escort. I screw men and get screwed for money, living my life everyday as Jericho Lane. My clientele list is immaculate. I am sought out, demanded and damn good at my job. I don't care that these men have families at home, or that they are important people. I do it for the money to survive. There is nothing that could make me feel a bit of remorse or concern about what I do because I was born with the inability to experience or feel emotions...I don't feel pain and I don't feel sorrow. I don't feel extreme happiness or love. I am void. A blank canvas of emotion. An empty hole in an endless sea of circumstances, moods, and relationships. Until one client changes everything.

HOT HOT HOT XOXO!!!

Would you consider the audio edition of Void to be better than the print version?

I didn't read the print version of Void so I would have no idea. But other print versions of books become a pain once your half way though, to hold the book open especially if your trying to rest or your sleepy from pain medication.
Audio books don't just help blind people they help a lot of disabled people.

What did you like best about this story?

interactions between Nicola and her therapist Jericho This was a good story. Very well written but with a lot of swearing, so if your not in to that then this is not the book for you.

What does Meghan Kelly bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Narration - Meghan Kelly - This book is written in dual POV and she read both parts.
When the same person is doing all the voices it is easy to get lost with who is speaking. But with Meghan Kelly You'll know exactly who is speaking and can tell each character apart easily.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes it was

Any additional comments?

An erotic book worth the read. I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts opinions and ratings are my own. I was under no obligation to post a review or give positive feedback.

Interesting but obvious

Without giving too much away this story had a slightly obvious plot. I figured out who Linc was the moment St Clair got Nicola into the apartment. I also found the narrators voice acting quite limited and unconvincing when doing male voices. But as the story had an interesting premise (a woman suffering from akexithymia, who is a paid escort, awakens suppressed sexual and emotional feelings when subjected to the Linc/St Clair effect) I read/listened to the entire story.

It took a while but it did eventually grow on me, though it was a bit dry and repetitive much like the many sex scenes. My biggest problem with the story was with the unaddressed issues between Nicola and St Clair and Cardinnelli and Nicola (spoiler alert) ie Nicola begins to feel jealousy when she discovers St Clair had sex with Cardinnelli's wife. She totally freaks out. But when it's mentioned that St Clair continues to service Cardinnelli's wife she does nothing. Meanwhile Cardinnelli, who lusted after Nicola, only uses Nicola to steal prescriptions and not for sex.

I received this book as a free copy in return for an honest review and gave this book 3 out of 5 stars only because it captured my attention with an interesting premise, and though it had a few flaws I would read again.
