Summary
I lived in the dark for three years. My whole world revolved around the whims and happiness of three men. It was just a trip into the forbidden. A way out of a bad situation and forward into nothingness.
Quin, with his easy smile and charming good looks. He was always there for me...until he wasn't.
Smith and his dispassionate attention. He was never there for me and he never regretted it.
Bric, the one who listened, but only to himself. Self-absorbed, self-obsessed, and self-serving. He was never the one I wanted.
And now he might be the only one I have left.
It was good while it lasted, I guess. But it could've been so much more. It could've been so much better.
And that's why I'm turning back.
Includes a special bonus note read by the author.

Enjoying this series
Loving this series, and I loved the story. Quinn and Bricks narrators were fantastic, but I did not like the female narrator at all, it was like she had a plum in her mouth whilst talking, very irritating, I just wanted her to sound natural and she didn’t, this in turn made me not really like Rochelle, but it was Quinn and Brick which held this book together.
I going straight to book three now as I’ve just got to listen to Brick’s book.

Emotions were high, I was on the edge of my seat - Brilliant
If you’ve read book 1 (and I highly recommend you do - although it isn’t absolutely necessary) you will know that we started off with three men and a lady, after losing one of the men and the lady, Rochelle, we begin book 2 with two men and no lady. All that is about to change. Enter the illusive Rochelle, the woman that ran away with Quin’s heart in the beginning of book 1, and the woman who continues to rock the boat between all three of these men, even Smith who is out of the game. Emotions are high, the stress is real, yet I was so impressed with Rochelle and Quin’s staying power, she didn’t waver one bit, she was strong, loving and had a heart of gold. So too did Quin, yet with so many secrets I wasn’t sure how it would all pan out. You’ll have to read it to find out. I can’t believe I waited six weeks before following up book 1, Taking Turns, with this book. I will say something, I’m going to start book 3, His Turn, straight straight away, no waiting six weeks. I’m going to dive straight in. Bric here I come. Brilliant story, wonderful characters, lots of toe curling sexy times and brilliant narration. Full five stars from me.

Whst a brilliant, unconventional, love story!
This has been a wonderful listen. The narrators captured the story and delivered this compelling tale masterfully. All three were excellent but I need to say that Tad Branson's empathetic, beauyifully paced, delivery was outstanding. This is definitely a book I will listen to again.

Cheers to the non traditional
Julie writes a great book, I love the twists , the humanity, the sexiness and the humour. I’m about to start the next in series. The attic scene is also one of my favourites ( to Julie). The audiobook really comes into its own, when Quin is explaining to Rochelle the that girl analogy. I was reading this on my kindle at first. Then returned to audio, rereading that chapter. The acting made hairs on my neck tingle. The scene was explosive . Julie you have become my favourite author. Don’t change the quirk, it’s brilliant. U.K. reader

Cool
Cool book, but boy is Rochelle a boring, flat, no personality character. She should've stayed gone! I speed up her chapters (which makes me think its more the narrators voice, then the chapters itself).
Nevertheless, I'm enjoying listening to this series so far.
