Summary

Love has a way of derailing the best of plans. Wynter Thompson, divorced with a young child, struggles to balance the demands of her surgical residency with the responsibilities of motherhood - and between the two, discovers there is little time left for anything else. She manages to convince herself that she has everything she needs, because another chance at love is definitely not in her game plan.

Pearce Rifkin is a woman with a plan, and it doesn’t include a serious relationship. Chief Surgical Resident is just a stepping stone to her lifelong goal - chairmanship at one of the top ten medical centers. Determined to follow in her father’s footsteps, even though she isn’t the son he dreamed of, Pearce has no time for romance. Two women with nothing in common but a shared passion for surgery clash at every opportunity, especially when matters of the heart are suddenly at stake.

Beautiful Romance.❤

A lovely story of two Doctors falling in love 💘 and juggling life and family. The narrator was good and told the story well. I definitely recommend this audio book. 💕

Better than I was expecting.

This story was better than I was expecting, and although I wasn't too sure about the narrator at first, I keep coming back to listen to this story, and have found myself liking the job she has done more and more.

Empathy for doctors

I thought I worked a lot of extra hours but when I read about the training hours of doctors I’m awed. This is a great story of finding time for a life and love in such circumstances.

The Narrator.......

The narrator makes Pierce (one of the MC) sound like a teenager, so it takes away from the audiobook.
The story is early Radclyffe, just like Radclyffe there's no great literature and just like Radclyffe the story is the same as many of her others ! I like it's a nice, easy listen.
No surprises so if you like Radclyffe you'll like this !

Quite disappointing and badly narrated

I must say that I liked neither the novel, nor the way it was read.
On the narrator side, basically all characters in the story (and there are not that many to pose a real problem to a voice actor) have almost the same voice. The differences between them are so minute that sometimes you have to struggle to understand whicj character is actually speaking.
On the novel side, I found it boring and the scenes either predictable, rushed or not believable. A total disappointment.

Not Radclyffe's best

Bit of a slow burner, felt like the characters had less backstory than other Radclyffe books. The narrators voice for one of the women was totally wrong, high pitched and nasal instead of the low husky tones described which made it harder to imagine the characters. Not a bad book but Fated Love, Passion's Bright Fury and Night Call all rank higher for me.
