Summary
Love is warm. Love is gentle. He is neither.
Mating a Draekon is a risky business. Love is never part of the deal.
Endora is a woman lost, a mother all out of options. There is only one cure that can save her daughter's life, and only one way she can pay for it. This isn't really a choice, is it? Despite the dangers, Endora signs a mating contract with the devastatingly handsome Draekon Lord. She will stay under his rule until she delivers him an heir - or dies trying.
Lord Aldric Darragon is a man with a frozen heart. There is no place for softness in his world. The Draekons are a race of might and power. To him, love is a trap and caring a weakness.
When the woman who spurned him over a decade ago suddenly accepts his offer of mating, Aldric vows to fulfill his duty to his bloodline and produce an heir but nothing more. As the heart he believed long dead thaws at Endora's contact, Aldric's passion unleashes with a devastating intensity. Filled with lust, he loses himself to his desire for the fragile human.
As Aldric and Endora fall deeply in love, an ancient evil awakens, threatening to swallow their entire world and everyone they love.
Will the mighty Lord Aldric be powerful enough to protect his mate? Will Endora be strong enough to survive the dangerous pregnancy?
Each book in the Dawn of Dragons series features a different couple and can be enjoyed as a standalone romance, however, it is recommended to listen to them in order for maximum enjoyment.

Fated mates! 😍
I loved this fated mates story. It was so much more than I expected. Excellent world building. Exciting storyline. I'm eagerly waiting for the next book.
This was my first book by Mary Auclair but won't be my last.
Traci Odom, narrator, is one of my favorites. I think she does a fantastic job with the variety of voices.
