About this listen
Joss Sloan is a recently widowed young woman who has thrown herself into her hobby of offering advice to strangers via her online Dear Joss show. It is her escape, her therapy, while she mourns his untimely death.
A random phone call, made in error by the caller, sets off an unexpected long-distance relationship between Joss and the sexy voice from area code 808. The connection between them is undeniable, which leads her to agree to meet her mystery caller in person.
Amid her budding new romance with the voice from 808, Joss discovers that her deceased husband Michael has a secret that connects to a mysterious key she found in his belongings. Her curiosity drives her to seek answers, but it leads her down a dangerous path she has little control over.
While Joss attempts to keep her new love interest from getting involved in her dead husband's secrets, her struggle to protect him becomes increasingly tricky. Through a series of poor decisions, Joss's life becomes expendable by those leading the charge after her husband's passing.
Now scrambling to ascertain whom she can trust and what she can control, Joss realizes her saving grace is the very person she has been trying hardest to protect.

🎧 Joss and Soren 🎧
A mis-dial leads to a long distance romance, with an element of suspense. An enjoyable enough story but the mystery/suspense element was wrapped up rather too easily, and I kept expecting more to happen. I found the author overly fond of the passive voice, sometimes resulting in strange imagery of disembodied limbs or other body parts.
I loved the trip to my hometown in the north of Ireland, even if the accents sounded like they were from the other end of the country.
Ava Lucas was great as Joss. Would have loved to hear more from Connor Crais. Jacob Morgan was marvellous, as always, and the musical performance from him was an aural treat!

amazing narration and story
This is a new author to me and I am so glad I gave her a chance. Of course, I was drawn in by the narrators but this book was just made better by the narrators, the narrators weren't the only good thing happening. Suspense, love, new beginnings. perfection. I may have lost some sleep tonight but it was well worth it

3⭐️
The absolute best thing about this book was the narration, hands down!
Ava Lucas was brilliant and gave it her all and really let you feel all of the emotions with her. Especially chapter 7, which was such a sad chapter but so beautifully read by Ava. Jacob Morgan, I’m pretty sure can do no wrong, at least for me. Him singing is everything 💛
The story itself was ok. A little drawn out with a too naive and feminine writing style for my taste

Good story. 👍
Let's just say the narrators brought this story to life. The concept of getting a call by mistake is excellent. Theres good banter and sass from the main heroine. storyline seems to falter towards the end but nevertheless it does have a HEA ending so not bad. If you just need to pass the time then this book is ok because the narrators are excellently sexy to listen to.
