About this listen
Four full-length naughty romances that include hulking mountain men with checkered pasts and doubtful futures, who claim the women they can’t live without. If you love outrageous reverse harem stories with a bit of spanking, tying up, voyeurism, and tough-as-nails military dudes, these are the stories for you.
The Captive
They had one simple rule. I broke it anyway.
The Runaway
I was a hunted woman. Taken in by four mountain mercenaries. Accepting their help was a mistake.
The Pursued
Four hot mountain mercenaries charged with protecting me. So was I a house guest? Or a prisoner? Because I sure as hell felt trapped, even if they were keeping me alive.
The Prize
When four mountain mercenaries found me alone in a bar, in a dirty wedding dress and with mascara stains under my eyes, deep into several shots of tequila, they had a few questions.
Time for your next binge listen!
From Mika Lane, a four-book collection of the steamy Savage Mountain Men reverse harem series is here. These hot, over-the-top romances center around bad-boys with a penchant for pursuing and protecting the women who give them a run for their money. If you love outrageously naughty stories as a way to indulge your not-so-secret bad girl side, this audio bundle is for you.

Full of Heat and Suspense
The Savage Mountain Men Romance Collection is a fantastic and scorching HOT listen. The storyline is engaging, suspenseful, steamy, and absolutely tantalizing. The characters are fabulous with headstrong heroines and tough-as-nails gritty, possessive alpha males. Excellent narration by Laurie West, she portrayed the characters and the heat very nicely. This was a highly enjoyable box-set and definitely with the listen.

Sexy Mountain Men
Title: The Savage Mountain Men Romance Collection: Books 1-4
Author: Mika Lane
Format: Audio
Narrator: Laurie West
Genre: Romantic suspense, reverse harem
Standalone: All books are standalone with no interconnected characters
Part Of A Series: This box set includes all four books in the Savage Mountain Men series
Steam Level: Hot
4/5
If you’re looking for a quick and dirty listen full of steam, emotion and hot, dangerous mountain men who are a lot more than meets the eye then this box set is for you. I listened to this audiobook quickly, binging the stories. My advice would be to take your time with these books, otherwise they can become a bit formulaic, with similar names (Jax and Jack), one cranky softy, and sometimes even with the same line about being “compelled to choose” and “would rather be alone one than have to choose.”
But, other than this, The Savage Mountain Med collection is a fun and sexy listen. If you like romantic suspense, military, and reverse harem them you'll enjoy this series.
Book 1
Title: The Captive
Genre: Romance, romantic suspense mercenary, reverse harem
Standalone: yes
Part of a Series: Book 1 of the Savage Mountain Men Series
POV: Joelle, Pierce, Jax, Reid, Blaze
Steam Level: hot
5/5
The Captive is the first book in the Savage Mountain Men series. Jo goes camping in a remote location on Savage Mountain and ends up twisting her ankle when she meets Pierce and Jax who then take her to the cabin they share with Reid and Blaze. Things get crazier and sexier from there. All of them have secrets and I loved seeing them revealed. I’ve recently discovered Mika Lane and The Captive is just as good as the previous books I’ve read by Mika Lane. I cannot wait to dive into book two.
Favorite Quote: If I didn’t kill her I swear I’d be marrying this bitch.
Book 2
Title: The Runaway
Genre: Romance, romantic suspense, military, mercenary, reverse harem
Standalone: yes
Part of a Series: Book 2 of the Savage Mountain Men Series
POV: Christian, Mari, Dutch, Victor, Red
Steam Level: hot
5/5
This is the first Mika Lane book that I’ve read that has an epilogue. I loved that addition. The Runaway was a super sexy, super cute reverse harem romance. I loved both the military and the mercenary aspects of it. The Runaway sucked me in and held me tight. The suspense was a fun aspect and I don’t think I’ll ever look at houseplants the same again.
Book 3
Title: The Pursued
Genre: Romance, suspense, military, mercenary, security, reverse harem
Standalone: yes
Part of a Series: book 3 in the Savage Mountain Men series
POV: Phee, Jack, Axel, Spence, Reggie
Steam Level: toasty
4/5
The Pursued, was a fun listen. However, I didn’t find it as compelling as the previous books in the series. I liked the mystery involved but it was also pretty obvious. The Pursued fell a little flat to me but it was a quick and dirty listen.
Book 4:
Title: The Prize
Genre: Romance, runaway bride, reality TV, suspense, mercenary, military
Standalone: yes
Part of a Series: book 4 of 4 in the Savage Mountain Men series
POV: Alessia, Dash, Forest, Turk, Remy
Steam Level: hot
4/5
The Prize is Book 4 of 4 in the Savage Mountain Men series. All books are standalone with no interconnected characters. The Prize was fun, especially with their cabin being in a remote and secret location and the suspense of Alessia being on reality TV. The guys were fun, especially with Dash’s computer skills. I liked the epilogue and how one of guy’s story was in the road to being mended. Overall The Prize was a lot of fun but I liked some of the earlier books better. But if you want a quick, steamy listen that’s also rather funny at times then check out The Prize.
I listened to this audiobook for free from Audiobooks Unleashed. This is my honest and voluntary review.

4 books with 1 download
Overall
I like that these stories have just a small amount of action/drama, that’s not what the books are mainly about. I also like that they all get to the point pretty quickly. They all have a HEA. I loved all the characters. There is a lot of heat with some just M/F and some MFM and all the stories end with four men with the woman, no M/M. The narration is great, I recommend these books.
The captive
I really enjoyed this story. Joel was camping alone in the mountains to lay low and ended up hurting herself in front of a couple of men she happen to run into. They decided to help her out but the other two guys at their cabin aren’t as welcoming. I love the characters In this story.
The Runaway
This is a completely different story with different characters. Mari was being chased by gang members because she stopped her best friend from being raped by one. While running she met two men at a truck stop that decided to help her. Little did she know they lived with two other men and a cranky woman that cooked for them. Mari’s character was a little odd to me, I couldn’t really understand her way of thinking.
The Pursued
A young lady’s successful and rich parents are killed in a plane crash that she was supposed to be on. They don’t think it was an accident so they send her to the mountain for safe keeping because they are not sure who can be trusted in her life. She is in for a culture shock.
The Prize
Alesia was on a reality tv show and gets a bad deal then runs away. A savage mountain man picks her up and takes her home with him. After the other men get upset because she is there they all fall for her.

Oh my
This makes me want to go find a mountain for my own mountain men. This is hot so very hot. But it’s also got so much going on. Don’t think this is just about the bedroom this is about men who have found the person they are meant to be with and the lengths they will go to, to keep them safe and happy.
If you haven’t read Mika Lane’s work before treat yourself to this amazing value and so entertaining book. Just set aside a weekend with no distractions as you won’t want anything getting in the way of you finishing these books

Great
Good stories which I enjoyed. I loved the strong characters in each story, but felt that the storyline was very similar.

Formulaic
So the 1st story was OK but I realised after that that all stories were the same: Independant gal gets herself in a bind, 4 mountain men rescue, have sex with then fall for her, gal is sad because she will have to leave/chose one of them, mountain men express their willingness to share her, they all live happily ever after.
Sex scenes are all v similar in format (and very short!!) characters and plots are entirely interchangeable and not all that gripping to start with.
Narrator did a good job with bad material.
If I hadn't fallen asleep while listening (so it ran to the end) I would have returned this audiobook.

I'm sad, I wanted to love.
I was so looking forward to this collection of books but I'm sad to say I've had to turn it off part way through the first story. if you are going to have one female narrator do all 5 characters including four males it needs to be someone with a truly epic male character voice. I'm sad to say while it isn't bad, there's just not enough difference between the voices of the male and female characters for me, let alone the four different male characters she is portraying. it left it all a bit flat as it was hard to keep track of who was who etc and I just couldn't get into it. it's a shame as I have a feeling this would have been epic with the inclusion of a male narrator.
