About this listen
The Summer Court is nothing like Sebastian remembers. The oppressed lower classes are drained of their magick, and around every corner political intrigues threaten an already unstable regime. Sebastian's only hope of surviving the Court and bringing home Prince Lyne's traitorous brother lies with Duine, a magickless Unseelie servant desperate to win his freedom. A servant for whom Sebastian, an estranged Seelie royal himself, is developing a dangerous and deepening affection.
But behind the mask Duine wears are secrets as dangerous as what's smoldering between them. And the more Duine helps Sebastian navigate Court life, the more it becomes clear the servant is not who he appears to be. How he came to be the whipping boy of one of the most powerful and corrupt faeries in the Summer Court is a truth Sebastian is determined to uncover, even if it puts him at odds with the very people who can lead him to the missing Unseelie prince.
When a powerful enemy steps from the shadows, Sebastian must choose: complete the mission and earn his place among the Unseelie who took him in, or risk his very life to ensure freedom for the man he loves.

Excellent ...
Really great storytelling. Loved how the story developed. Not slow - kept me involved the whole way through.
John Solo is a new narrator to me - and he did an amazing job. Paced really well with every character having a different voice. It was honestly like listening to a play with a lot of different actors.

Great series
Interesting story with likeable characters and good narration. There are a few things that don't make sense but I expect that they'll be covered in future books.

As expected, as great as the first and more!!
Marion, your concept, imagination is astounding, thank you for another great story to listen to again 🙌
I so can’t wait for Book 3 to be released on Audible, sadly at present, nothing showing on the website at the moment, but I know you said that it would be this month and book 4 in the summer.
Will book 1.5 be released around the same time as book 3 on Audible? Or before/around book 4?
Again, thank you John Solo for another magickal listen and the journey through yet another great book!
I’m itching to listen to book 3, I’m like a kid at Christmas at the moment (I’m 47 btw 😂)
Again, I highly recommend, especially if you like/love fantasy fiction with a twist - but is recommended for adults - I recommend you also listen in book order to understand the full story and characters.

Ran out of story.. Rambling, incoherent ending
Such a shame, when compared to the first book. The narrator's English accent has become almost farcical and sounds like Dick Van Dyke in "Mirry Pawpins". That alone I could overlook and I reasonably enjoyed all but the last two hours of the book. The story reached a climax at 10 hours and should have ended there. It went of for 2 hours more and became awfully boring, meaningless and just treading water to pad it out. I think the author ran out of plot so took us on some twaddle for a couple of hours. It is such a shame that it had such a boring ending, Hugely disappointed. Sadly I will stop here at book 2 of this trilogy.
