The widowed Duchess of Sailer has desires that are hard to fill in polite society. To that effect, she visits a brothel to have her bottom reddened. If word got out, her reputation would be ruined. So, when a member of society is murdered, and her name turns up in the books he is using to blackmail people, the metropolitan police show up on her doorstep. Inspector Rupert McKinley expects to get in and out, and figure out who killed Lord Ethan. He doesn't care about Olivia's desires...until he starts to spend time with her, and realizes she's more interesting than he ever expected her to be. When their business relationship turns into a personal one, Rupert is determined to find the murderer before someone else - like Olivia - is killed.

wow. talk about steamy romance. this book has it all. spanking of the charts and well read. thank you for allowing me this free book throughly enjoyed listening to this book. I would recommend this book it's hot.

You are in for intoxicating ride.
This story is interestingly refreshing with quite a bit of intrigue, suspense, action and mystery. You will also experience some seriously steamy sexy times, coloured with a little BDSM for added excitement. It is throughly entertaining. listening to it was emensely enjoyable.
It is nice to have a reminder of how things were in the pass, for people like Duchess Olivia and Inspector Rupert McKinley. These days they would have more feedom to make decisions about their private life, and they would also have much more technical to help in their investigation. The story is well written, the plot is brilliant, unpredictable and a definite MUST READ.
