So I went into this book forewarned that it was going to be an amazing listen, seriously its called Psychos and its by Sheridan Anne, what more warnings did I need? But I just was not. Prepared for how brilliant this was. I was up all night listening I could not stop it and I knew I had a busy family day the next day so that night was the only chance I had, and no leaving it til the next day was not an option. I needed answers. This book stole every once of self control that I own and made me its slave and I know that I am going to listen to it again.

The chemistry and the darkness is off the charts, it’s entertaining and full of emotions and drama and just so good. The narration for me I felt like it raised a lot of the emotions as well and it also forced me to really listen to the story. With a book this good I would have speed read it and missed a lot of them depth that the narration gave me.

Great start to the series

There are some teases for larger plotlines in the series but this is more about setting up the dynamic between Shayne, Roman, Levi and Marcus while also meeting some of the other key players in their world. There are a lot of secrets, twists and turns as well as mafia action and I was engaged throughout.

Although this is a dark romance but the stand out for me was the humour. I laughed every time Tarzan was mentioned and that opening chapter had me in stitches to begin with. Shayne is instantly likeable without being sugary sweet and she definitely has some bite. Kelsey Navarro does most of the narration in the audiobook and she added so much warmth to Shayne but also kept that snarky side of her character front and centre. Shayne is not a pushover despite the situations she finds herself in. We only get a single chapters worth of Blake Lockheart's Roman however it comes at the best possible time in the narrative and left me wanting more of the guy's POVs . I'm hoping for more in the next book!

3 stars - I enjoyed it; would read the author again
4 stars - I really liked it; I am invested and definitely want more from this author/series
5 stars - I loved it; I engaged with this book completely until I finished it and it is one I will re-read

Gimme all the psychos

Wow! Just when I think i found my favourite Sheridan Anne series in BOW alongs she comes and throws a spanner in the works. Shayne is kidnapped by the DeAngelis brothers most people are terrified at the mere mention of their name. Although Shayne should be terrified she isn’t because she’s a bada$$ with a penchant of speaking before she thinks , that’s my type of FMC. This book is intense and I had several wtaf moments and I can’t wait for book 2. Kelsey and Blake nailed the narration.

fantastic series

I absolutely loved this series and highly recommend a listen or read obviously. There is a great story and characters are spot on. I loved the wolves and wished they could have featured a little more as I cried with laughter at their antics. There's lots of steamy sex so if you don't like that this probably isn't the series for you but I loved it five stars all the way.

Dark and Dangerous!

All her life Shayne’s father has been more hindrance than help but this time he has outdone himself when he sells to the infamous DeAngelis mafia family. She finds herself abducted, being held hostage and being on the losing end of whatever game her abductors want to play.

Marcus, Levi and Roman are the DeAngelis brothers whose reputation precedes them. They have been gifted Shayne, but they know that getting close to her could have dire consequences not only for her but them as well.

I did enjoy the evolution of the characters as after everything Shayne goes through her strength and resilience shows through while we also see that the brothers have a dark and dangerous side there is more to them than that. This all leads up to an epic cliffhanger that leaves us wondering how Shayne is going to get out of the situation she finds herself in. The narrators did a great job at bringing out the personalities of the characters, both good and bad. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession

My favorite book by Sheridan Anne so far. LOVED THIS. Loved the guys. Cant decide on who is my fave. Marcus, Roman or Levi…Cannot wait to listen to book 2!!!!
