About this listen

A famous rock'n'roll drummer – and a girl who wants nothing to do with the spotlight. Play is a passionate romance, and the second book in the steamy Stage Dive series from Kylie Scott.

Malcolm Ericson is the dreamy drummer for Stage Dive – loved by all the ladies and the envy of his peers. Strumming up a new hit and working the crowd comes easily to him. But, behind his cool exterior, he wants more than the fast lifestyle.

Mal needs to clean up his image fast – at least for a little while. He was never a conformist, but having a good girl on his arm should do the job just fine.

Anne Rollins never thought she'd ever meet the rock god who plastered her teenage bedroom walls. But she has money problems. Big ones. Her roommate has left her high and dry in debt, and being paid to play the pretend girlfriend to a sexy, wild, life-of-the-party drummer is a tempting offer . . .

The rock'n'roll steam continues in book three, Lead.

I’m hooked on this series

Andi Arndt is one of my go to narrators, so made this series appealing to me. I really enjoyed the first book but loved the second, I forgot where I was on more than one occasion when laughing out loud to myself.
I’m looking forward to starting the third.

I am disapointed in where it finished. Stopped in the middle of a story. I would have liked to here what happened to the couple and her mother

love love this series

Mal is my favourite guy in this series. in the books he comes across as a very funny guy hiding behind his manic humor. while the narator was very good in her delivery, she didn't quite catch his nuttiness when he was at his most funny. she did however capture his torment regarding his adoration of his mother which was sad and sweet. his love for Ann was just precious. I'll continue to purchase the audible versions to accompany my kindle books as they're worth the novelty.

one slight thing regarding the production on this audio. it ended so abruptly I had to double check that I'd missed nothing. so allow a little more time between the end and rushing into the credits. anyway enjoy and many thanks .

Another Fantastic Stage Dive Book

Another fantastic book by Kylie Scott. Mal is my favourite Stage Dive person, you have to love the drummer. I love him because he is crazy and he loves with his whole heart.

Mal is the drummer from Stage Dive and he has been living with Dave and Eve since the whole of Stage Dive moved to Portland. That was until he saw to much and Dave kicked him out.

Anne and her friend Skye live together in Portland in a two bedroom flat. That was until Skye moved out without telling Anne. Anne is broke and needs a roommate fast but the roommate she got wasn't the one she wanted.

I would recommend Kylie Scott Stage Dive Books.

More fun

Too impatient to save this for my holiday listening and I've now got through the first two books in the series in just three days.
Had some real laugh out loud moments with this one (received some strange looks from my fellow commuters) . Mal is a great character, and his mood infectious - I enjoyed this book more than the first.
(These books remind me a little of the Sookie Stackhouse series with their tone....light-hearted and fun. Just replace the vampires et al with rock stars).
A guilty pleasure.....can't help myself, I'm off to download number 3 in the series.
