About this listen
The popular News Boy trilogy chronicles the journey of one couple falling in love, developing their relationship, and finding their forever. This bundled collection contains all three books.
Book One: News Boy
Neil needs a bodyguard and a keeper. Fortunately, Brody can be both.
News anchor Neil Klein has a stalker, but anyone guarding him must also be comfortable when he regresses to a “middle” while relaxing at home with his toy soldiers, juice boxes, and Mario collection. Neil doesn’t just require a bodyguard, what he really needs is a “Daddy” type of protector. Fortunately, Brody Johnson can do both with complete discretion.
Book Two: News Boy Storm Front
Even the best Daddies can’t keep the storms of life away...but they’ll always try.
Neil has a new safety scare and a huge storm about to hit the city while he and Brody are preparing for visiting family. With a stalker possibly coming his way, the city shutting down, and relatives descending, Neil needs all the middle time he can get. Their relationship is tested, but Neil and Brody work together to face it all.
Book Three: News Boy Breaking News
Neil is supposed to report the news...not star in a featured story.
Brody proposes during a live news segment, and Neil can’t say yes fast enough. What follows is a flurry of wedding planning, a bestie in crisis, terror in the newsroom, and finally...a ceremony that is absolutely them. And when it’s all over, Brody shows why he was always the right choice for his precocious middle by giving Neil the perfect honeymoon.

Enjoyable trio
A great trio of books about a Daddy and his boy, a wonderful development of Neil and Brody’s relationship across the three books. There’s plenty of action and sweet moments in all of the novellas and I really enjoyed Michael Dean’s narration. He never fails to give an excellent performance, really bringing the emotion and depth to the characters.

Another amazing series
This is another amazing series by Susi Hawke! Neil & Brody are absolutely perfect for each other and it’s amazing to be able to read their story. I love the fact that this is a “Middle” and his Daddy instead of a “Little”. Much less common but still a valid part of the community! Michael Dean did another fantastic job with the narration! Absolutely great listen!

This is a great trilogy!
I read these books as they were released individually and I loved them. I loved them all over again while listening to Michael Dean’s fantastic audio performance.
The blurb is really great for each book so I won’t rehash them. I’ll just say that this series made me LOL in several places but there were also tense moments.
Book 1:
A short and sweet story that introduces Brody to the daddy/boy world when he becomes Neil’s bodyguard (because he has a stalker), and then his boyfriend.
Book 2:
The meshing of Neil and Brody’s family members really made this entertaining. I especially loved the voice that Michael Dean did for Brody’s dad; he’s done another fantastic job with this audiobook. Also, the twist near the end was pretty surprising.
Book 3:
While there is some drama in this series – Brody, after all, is Neil’s bodyguard as well as his boyfriend – book 3 is really all about Neil and Brody taking the next step in their relationship now that they’ve been together for two years.
The blurb already lets you know that there’s a wedding involved so I’ll just say how wonderful I thought it was. Neil and Brody are perfect for each other and I loved the HEA they got with each other.
A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.

Adorable Daddy/boy romance, M. Dean is Wonderful!
Adorable!
When you're in the mood for the sweetest daddy/boy romance, definitely reach for Susan Hawke's News Boy Trilogy. You'll need to start with News Boy, and read them in order, but following Brody and Neil's romance is so much fun.
This series is bundled now, all performed by the wonderful Michael Dean, so there's no reason not to enjoy it from beginning to end.
News Boy
Ohmygosh oh wow I wish this one was about 200 pages longer! Susan Hawke’s crafted a gem here. A toppy middle, an intriguing wounded warrior, and a fun little mystery News Boy had better be the start of a fantastic new series!
Michael Dean adds his patented style to this one, and it’s perfection. As adorable I’m sure this one reads, what Mr. Dean brings to the experience elevates News Boy to a whole ‘nother level.
Sweet, sexy, unique, and gah I wish there was more, News Boy is a winner!
Storm Front
Adorable! I love this couple, they're incredibly cute together and I hope this series runs forever.
It was great to see these two find love in News Boy, but it's even better to get a peek into their day to day life in Storm Front. Plus we get to meet the family, which gives Susan Hawke all kinds of possibilities for what could come next, and I'm definitely looking forward to it.
Sweet, with just enough sizzle - plus a little mystery, the News Boy Trilogy is a guaranteed good time. Especially when enjoyed in audio, performed by the marvelous Michael Dean. His voices are great for these characters. He sure knows when to emphasize the humor, and always makes the most of the sexytimes by adding his special brand of romance. Highly recommend.
Breaking News
Brody and Neil plan their happily ever after, but (of course) it doesn't go completely as planned. Susan Hawke's third episode of the News Boy Trilogy brings these two the sweetest ending ever.

Lovely age play series!
I found this short age play story pretty perfect!
he connection between Brody and Neil is immediate, and through the three books we follow them as they fall in love, settle in their relationship and then secure their HEA, all the while dealing with everything that comes their way, be it a life threat, meeting the families or planning a wedding!
Funny, sweet and with the right amount of action added into the mix, but without too much angst!
I love Susan Hawke’s mix of sweetness and sexiness, and I adore Michael Dean’s narration!

Great relationship
A former Ranger/bodyguard/Dom is hired to protect a mouthy news anchor/little and sparks fly. If you know this is a book by Susan Hawke with those main characters you know your are in for a hot, hot read with an excellent plot to support the romance. This is a book you could describe as a perfect beach read in the best sense of that term. The performance by Michael Dean reminds you just why he is one of the most popular narrators in the business. His performance here is just perfect. He catches all the nuances of the Dom/little relationship and made me care earlier about bratty Neil who can come off a little off putting at first in the print version of the story. The voices are distinct, the emotions never go over the top and Brody's voice just sounds "right" for the background he is supposed to have without coming across as too much the bossy alpha Dom.
I liked the second book because it gave us something we don't get all the time and that's a chance to see our couples in their day to day lives for an extended period. We get to know them better and see how they deal with the little things. Of course, there's also plenty of other stuff going on with the tropical storm, the stalker still lurking about and Brody's family visiting.
Loved seeing these two making their wedding plans. They are just as hot together as they've been through the whole series. Great friends as always and some not so great family members to provide some obstacles, but the biggest one comes from the stalker plot line which I loved. The sense of danger and suspense was well handled and integrated into the romance plot.

Great to have all 3 books in 1 audiobook
I really enjoyed Neil and Brody’s story. I liked how they met - Neil (being a famous news anchor) was being stalked and ended up with Brody as his bodyguard. Turns out his bodyguard was the Daddy he needed after all.
I love age play books and audiobooks - and this series is slightly different in that Neil is a middle, not a little, which I really liked. We see that he and Brody had an immediate connection, even if Neil fights it at first. I loved getting to follow their relationship and connection developing. Over the course of the three books we get to see it develop from meeting, through stalkers and family drama, all the way to their HEA and their wedding.
Susan Hawke’s writing is always enjoyable and no less in this series. There’s plenty of hilarity too as is usual in their writing and it all combines to make a great series. Michael Dean is well known too for his narration and again no less with this series. I enjoy that he doesn’t just have one or two generic voices that he uses but instead brings all characters to life individually.
Overall a fantastic listen - and a bargain to get all 3 books in the series for 1 credit.

Great series, three book collective
With this trilogy, we get to meet News Anchor Neil Klein and his "Daddy" boyfriend and bodyguard, Brody Johnson.
In the beginning, Brody was brought in as his bodyguard after Neil gets threatening letters and is finally abducted. In the second book, we get to meet their families, and personally, I would be more afraid of them than any madman. In the final book, they finally get married after more issues with family and friends seriously though this is an excellent trilogy of shortish stories.
We have age play, Daddy, Middle, family drama, love and lots of sex. What more do we need out of a book.
Love Susan's books, well narrated by Michael Dean. A must-read/listen.

Middles are sweet
Neil & Brody are too cute for words. The charming news anchor with his hidden middle side was great to listen to. Hearing him fall for the gruff Brody was nice. Listening to Brody interact with both sides of Neil perfectly was so enjoyable. This audio is a treat to hear.
