About this listen
An age-gap, opposites-attract lesbian romance between a nanny and her career-climbing boss that ends in a puddle of melted ice queen.
Ambitious corporate shark Camila Evans might have just lost her marriage but she decides she doesn't need love to build a television empire and raise her young son alone. What she does need is a nanny, but the incompetent idiots sent her way make her lose faith in ever finding anyone useful.
Enter Emily Walker - fresh out of college, bright, a little naive, and new to New York City. Emily is everything Camila is not and frankly it's a little unsettling how innocent and gentle the young woman is.
That's not all that's unsettling. Camila's growing feelings for Emily are making it hard to maintain a professional distance. Surely she can't possibly be falling for the nanny? God, it's such a mid-life crisis cliche. But would it be too impossible?
As time goes on, Camila starts to wonder if maybe even she can get her happy ending after all.
Contains mature themes.

Cute story
A very frustrating love story that was brilliantly narrated by Lori Prince. However there was not enough time devoted to the happiness they finally managed to achieve. I would have liked to have heard a bit more of the personal growth that Camilla had obviously undergone.

loved it, but....
loved it, only down side for me was the ending.
it felt very rushed. I would have preferred more story before epilogue.

Ice queen with cute son
Enjoyed the story, where an ice queen is thawed by a much younger, intelligent woman, add in a cute son and the story had more meat on its bones. The only draw back for me was the narration, voice a little scratchy and shrill in places.

Really recommend
I binge listened to this book and loved it. I have loved each of Rachael Sommers’ audio books and found them sweet and moving. This one has the 2 main characters, the 5 year old son of Camila and the sister and her partner of Emily and the 5 of them make for a wonderful cast of thoroughly likeable characters.

A book for mature audiences where nothing happens…
I don’t normally write reviews, often, because I get through so many audiobooks that I just don’t have the time! But with this book, I felt I needed to write something just in case it stopped someone else wasting their money on this terrible book. Like many of its genre, this book is prefixed with a mature audiences warning, however, I can confirm that absolutely nothing mature happens in this book! The story is long and drawn out and absolutely nothing happens. Girl gets a job for her teen crush, falls in love with teen crush, teen crush boss resists her advances and pushes her away. They take a trip to London, nothing happens et cetera to the end when they finally get together and we don’t get to experience any of their relationship. This truly was a complete waste of time.

I wanted to give 5 stars
I loved this book... until the last hour. I don't mind a slow burn, but the whole point of one is that the human is then reinforced for waiting by getting a decent chunk of the good stuff. Instead we got angst and 10 minutes...I literally mean 10 minutes of them being together. A 5 minute conversation and kiss and a 5 minute epilogue. The rest was 5 stars but I couldn't ever listen again.

okay.....
Okay audio, similar to so many others. The narrator LP would be so much better if she would only take the time to 'learn' more than one female voice, one MC sounds great but the other is just weird(as are her other female voices) ! LP also does this annoying thing where she whines and elongates words to 'display' awkwardness or embarrassment, it's teeth jarring.
Narration is so important and not enough attention is paid to it !
