About this listen

Notorious Frank Harris in his own lifetime at the beginning of the 20th century was an editor, journalist, and publisher - a well known personality both professionally and personally as his aggression and bravado made him larger than life.

However, it is undoubtedly his detailed scandalous account of his sexual exploits that remain his lasting legacy.

Leslie Grantham's reading admirably captures this vivid depiction of his many erotic encounters.

Times change...

I read this book first when I was about 13 years old, and back then (a long time ago) I was shocked by it, but I thought it was fantastic. However, now was an adult, it seems times change.
In many ways this was a 'ground breaking' piece of literature.
Hearing the audio version, which is very well read incidentally, I found the book very disappointing.
