Summary

I accidentally ended up in this dimension. I had nothing. I knew no one. I barely survived the journey but landed in the best possible place; an ancient society of vampire hunters with the medical means to put me back together. I can't go home, but I can use the extra-abilities I gained from slipping dimensions to work for Black Swan and try to keep my friends alive.

When it comes to love, I have options. The knight who saved my life is strength and honor personified. The sexy elf who thinks I'm his mate. And an incredibly attractive 600-year-old vampire. My name is Elora Laiken. This is my story.

Contains mature themes.

If this preceeded IAD it would have been Good

I bought this audio book to try out other authors of the same genre. Regretfully it did not live up to par like immortals after dark by Kresley Cole. it felt bland in comparison. the narrator was OK but again I could not help but compare him to Robert Petkof narration. Petkof is master in his art. however to be fair it was a good story line of the paranormal with cliff hangers about other characters like Baka the vampire and Storm broken heart...

Ruined by the last hour

A great time and dimension-crossing fantasy tale of vampires and vampire killing knights, which was totally ruined by the utterly pathetic ending. An ending which suddenly included medieval cottages in an elven forest and almost an hour of completely unnecessary sexual "tuition"!! It was like listening to 2 different books! I have no idea what the author was thinking (well actually, I have a VERY clear idea of what she was thinking and it was either before a hot date or after a good seeing to) but it totally ruined what was otherwise a promising book. I definitely wouldn't recommend this drivel to anyone else and if I had wasted a credit on this, I'd be asking for it back. WHY oh WHY spoil what could have been a decent series??? And just for geographical reference, the New Forest is NOT in Ireland!!!
