About this listen

My boyfriend is getting married.

Okay, technically he's my ex-boyfriend. Two months ago, he decided he wanted a break. I still thought he was my happily ever after.

On any other day, knowing he was gone for good would be the worst thing that could possibly happen.

But not today.

Because not only is my boyfriend getting married, his bride is my best friend. And they've sent me an invitation.

There's no way I'm going to attend. I don't care if it's in beautiful Scotland. Nothing and no one could convince me.

Not even when a deliciously handsome stranger tells me he needs to go as my plus one.

Not even when he shoots me a wickedly sexy smile.

But then he offers me the opportunity of a lifetime, a dream come true. How can I say no?

But I have one condition. He has to be my new boyfriend. I mean, my pretend new boyfriend.

The beginning of a great series.

OMG! I've got to say that the combination of Louise Bay's words and the narration team of Shane East and Saskia Maarleveld is just epic.

The premis of this book is a bit strange. I personally find it inconceivable that any woman would attend the wedding of a very recent ex and a woman she considered her best friend!

However Louise Bay manages to sell this story, oh so beautifully, and I beg you to find anyone who doesn't believe that Stella gets the better end of every single deal!

enjoyed the story

I really enjoyed the story line and well shane east what can I say hes just so voice sexy. was nice to have the women proposing and more than just the normal feelings side. saskia is a good narrator but this time sound like she had a bad throat at times.

ALMOST perfect

I'm about halfway through listening to this book and am enjoying it. The plot is excellent, the characters are well drawn and the pace works. Both narrators are superb, EXCEPT that I have a personal pet peeve about men trying to perform women's voices and vice versa. I wish that Shane East would do all of the men's voices throughout and Saskia Maarleveld would do all of the women's voices throughout, each of them doing their own character's narration for appropriate chapters. That one tweak would be enough for me to give this book full marks.

Mr. Right! Right! Right!

Where do I start? Can you image Ross from friends marrying Phoebe, while he and Rachel were on 'THE BREAK"? Exactly!! How GHASTLY!! I think most woman can relate to this! We've all had a 'Matt the Prat' ex! That one boyfriend who stared a little too long at one of your girlfriends, leaving you a little insecure. Now imagine him marrying your best friend and having the gall to invite you??
What to do!!? Well, if you're like Stella London or I (I wish!) What better way than turning up with a gorgeous, rich, sexy, successful property tycoon to play your dutiful 'boyfriend'
Mr Mayfair has made it into my top 5 Louise Bay books! For sure! This witty, feel-good rom-com take you on a fun, emotional and truly British ride! Full of Louise's great sense of humour, that only Brits are lucky enough to ooze in buckets (joking!)
Narrated by the awesome duo that is Shane (smooth as velvet) East and Saskia (I have the nicest voice and can do any accent) Maarlevald, what's there not to like. They work so well together, it's a no brainer!

PERFECT

This story, Like ALL Louise Bay books and audios, was absolutely STUNNING. I knew when Shane East was narrating I was going to love this no matter what. And he did a WONDERFUL job playing Beck. Saskia was fantastic as Stella and the chemistry between the two was magical. I loved this story so much, it was one of my favorites of this authors! And of course the awful EX-best friends name was Karen 🤣 THANK YOU LOUISE BAY AND WILDFIRE MARKETING!!!
