About this listen
Inspired by the myths and folktales about Asmodeus from The Book of Tobit.
“Blood was spilled on the holy land, for the worst kind of lust was driven by the desire for God.”
Lace, white, everything frilly and pretty. The theme to Sara’s life used to be that of a princess, one she romanticized. But when her previously perfect world turned upside down, Sara became convinced that she was cursed. She hid herself in the shadows to spare others from the agony she brought along.
The only person she could never hide from was her adopted brother.
Tristan Marcolf wasn’t the run-of-the-mill rich and successful politician. It was his ethereal good looks that left others bewildered. So much so, they wondered if his looks were a gift from God. Only the cursed gift gave Tristan everything he wished for, except for the one thing he truly desired.
His adopted sister, Sara.
Tristan unravels as Sara starts to slip out of his grasp and into the arms of another. With Tristan’s unquenchable thirst for her spiraling out of control, he gives into the demon inside and makes an unforgivable mistake; one he cannot take back.
Loosely based on the story of Asmodeus, the Demon of Lust, who loved to play with mortals. Asmodeus orchestrated settings to prove to God that humans would choose pleasures of the flesh and materialistic desires over the simplicity of love. The two souls set out to prove him wrong and humble his vanity, but rarely do demons give in without a fight.
There are no heroes in this book, only villains. It consists of explicit content and dubious and graphic situations that some listeners might find offensive.

Unique storyline
This book was very unique. With great characters and a strong survival instinct. There is a trigger in this book that I didn’t mind but know there will be people that don’t like it so please listen to the warning! A great performance from both Maya and Xander.

Enthralling & Dark
Lust was an unexpected surprise. It's an enthralling dark stepbrother paranormal romance, captivating me from start to finish. I found the supernatural component totally fascinating and unique, and the storyline is packed with plenty of drama and heat. The characters are fully developed, complex, and wholly intriguing. Tristan is a politician and complicated man who is cursed by Asmodeus, a Demon of Lust and a Prince of Hell. He has an unquenchable craving for the one woman he shouldn't have, his stepsister, Sara. Sara is a feisty, independent, and strong-willed heroine, but entangled in her adopted brother's seductive web of lust and games. The story is as intricate as the premise and one I thoroughly enjoyed. I really hope the rest of The Seven Sins series is released in audiobook format.
Xander Marceau and Maya Sterling did an outstanding job with the narration, capturing the essence and breathing life into the characters. They definitely made the story more engaging. Lust was a deliciously dark PNR listen, one I'll highly recommend.

Not your typical storyline, but so worth it.
This was completely different but highly addictive. The characters and the world building were handled amazingly well. Everything fit so well together and made you feel like the alternate reality was real in your mind. The narrators made an excellent performance and really fit the characters.

Unusual but so engaging
Went through an array of emotions reading this! Despite the taboo it was hard not to be invested in the outcome. Also the narrators did an excellent job.
