About this listen
"Sinkhole, take me now."
Olena MacMillan is a hot mess. Feeling like she has a permanent seat on the struggle bus, she can't seem to get her act together—or stop embarrassing herself.
Desperate for a fresh start in her hometown, Olena needs to focus. On getting her life on track. On resuscitating her landscape design business. Definitely not on the gorgeous landscaper she's stuck working with. But something about his intense green eyes and hunky lumberjack vibe has her babbling non-stop.
Jude Sharpe is a man of routine. He likes his life just the way it is: familiar, predictable, and safe. And he's determined to keep things professional, ignoring Olena's magnetic pull. But who is he kidding? Even his dog is smitten.
But when Olena's ex won't stop harassing her, escalating his unhinged behavior, she has to dig deep for the courage to let Jude in or risk losing everything.
Hey Jude is the first book in the Lennox Valley Chronicles series. It features mature content intended for listeners aged 18 and up.

Fabulous story
One thing I love is finding new authors and new narrators to support and adore and Hey Jude gave me both of those things.
This is my first Hannah Brixton book and looking at her profile I think this may be her debut novel, and I am totally impressed.Hannah's writing is wonderful and she has written such an enthralling story and I was enchanted from the start.
Listening to the audiobook of this story took it to another level and Hannah chose the perfect Narrators to bring the characters to life.Victoria Connelly and Benjamin Sands were EXCELLENT at telling this story and bringing Jude and Olena's romance to life. They were clear, emotional when neccessary, and brought the humour and steam expressing it amazingly with their voices.
I absolutely enjoyed listening to them, and what a charming story they told.
Hey Jude is both steamy and sweet with a little bit of angst,it does address some trigger issues that may be of concern to people. But even though I do suffer with mild PTSD and I do experience panic attacks I have to say I personally didn't feel uncomfortable listening to it.
Olena and Judes first encounter is not a pleasant one and although attracted to him Olena thinks he is an ASSHOLE..lol..
Olena is a landscape designer and Jude is a landscape gardener and to both of their surprise they end up working on the same project together.
This is when Olena discovers Jude is not what she thought he was and they get along great, becoming friends as they work together.
They have so much chemistry and are attracted to eachother, and their flirting turns into something more, their first kiss is wow so HOT.!!
There are clues that Olena has experienced something traumatic in her past and she suffers with PTSD and Panic attacks.
Unfortunately she has an episode during her time spent with Jude, and Jude is just so understanding and caring towards Olena but she keeps running from him.
Olena is definately insecure and her past relationship is to blame,Her EX boyfriend has a big roll in her life he won't leave her alone, which could be the downfall in her new romance with Jude.
Jude has also had past relationship hang ups his heart was broken, but he really shows his vunerability to Olena. He doesn't hold back on his intentions with Olena and expresses just how he feels to her.
I LOVE Jude I want my own Jude !!..No wonder Olena was smitten with him so was I ...He is just so swoon his honesty with his emotions is so sweet...He is a huge support to Olena, boosts her confidence and trys to make her see herself the way he sees her...Its a beautiful thing.
Olena has to work through her issues and you see her character change from fragile and unsure to someone who stands up to her bully ex and gains strength and freedom from her past.
Don't get me wrong Jude isn't a saint he has his family issues with his brother going off the rails abit, and he causes problems for him.
Olena also keeps running away from any problems but her friend always puts her straight ...The sexy times in this book are scorching HOT...Jude may be sweet but he is a beast in the bedroom and these scenes are written brilliantly.
Hannah Brixton's writing is very descriptive and I loved it and LOved Jude and Olena they are perfect for eachother.
I enjoyed the bonus epilogue too, drunk Jude is so much fun and sexy.
I am definately going to keep my eyes open for Hannah's next book and keep up with this series I can't wait for more.
I will also be Listening to more of Victoria and Benjamin's narrations as I really found them so satisfying and easy to listen to.
Hey Jude is a Fantastic debut for Hannah Brixton and I throughly enjoyed it.

Wonderful Story & Listen🎧 Gripping & Heartfelt!
I enjoyed this book immensely, the story swept me in right from the start, grabbing my attention and captivating it the entire time, but that was not all, it tugged at my heartstrings, too. I loved the originality and depth of the story and the complexity of the characters. A story that is multilayered and touches on some heavy topics and I appreciated the author kept it all real, including the characters who were realistic and relatable. I adored both lead characters, Olena Macmillan and Jude Sharpe, and their first encounter was memorable, to say the least. There were some great secondary/support characters too, her roommate and best friend Wyatt, being my favorite, oh and Murphy, too. We could all use a Wyatt in our lives, maybe even a Jude, too. Olena and Jude were perfectly imperfect, each having their own baggage and dealing with inner demons or an ex who is a demon. Despite all that, I thought they were great together and for each other. I just wished Olena opened up sooner and revealed the part of her life that she was hiding, though I get she had her reasons, but I think Jude, being who he was, would have understood. Overall, I loved how everything played out in this book, and the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. The story has the perfect balance of drama, angst, charming humor, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. Hannah Brixton, thank you for this wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Victoria Connolly and Benjamin Sands were the perfect cast to bring these characters and story to life. They understood the characters they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting and was believable in every role they performed. Connolly nailed it as Olena, grasping every aspect of her personality, including her vulnerabilities and insecurities, as well as her confidence, which continued to grow. Sands nailed it as Jude, protective, caring and perfectly swoon worthy. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and have you feel each one. These two entertaining storytellers made a great team and their performance elevated the story to another level. Thank you for this wonderful listen.

Unexpectedly delightful
After a tiny slow start I was soon absorbed by this wonderful little story. Hannah Brixton manages to brilliant capture her characters in a way that I instantly connected with them and was just drawn into their story. Olenna is instantly adorable as the sweet and slightly chaotic landscape designer who is looking to put her life back on track after returning home following a messy break up. Enter Jude, the ruggedly handsome contractor he is due to work with for the next several weeks who is slightly broken himself but the pull is undeniable.
I love this story, its deceptively simple and sweet but carries so much warmth and heart that you can't help but love it. It delicately deals with issues of PTSD, grief and harassment so that it weaves into the story seamlessly without being overwhelming. Olenna and Jude's instant connection is believable and really makes you want to route for them throughout. And I said deceptively sweet....it is that but don't be fooled if you like your romance with some spice it has PLENTY. Jude Sharpe is a very high contender for book boyfriend material as he is obsessed with giving his woman all the pleasure she can stand ;)
Victoria Connolly and Benjamin Sands work perfectly together in dual narration and are now two of my new favourite narrators. Insta-buy all of their titles right now.

Wonderful, emotional listen!
When the meet cute makes me smile, I know the book is going to be good. This one had me chuckling, and from that point on, I couldn't wait to see where Jude and Olena would meet again. And of course, it couldn't be someone she would pass in the store! It had to be the person she would work close with on her new project. Immediate chemistry but not initially acted on just gives enough of the build as the story goes on. Hannah Brixton takes on quite a few relevant issues, each set in the story with compassion but totally realistic. She gives Jude and Olena obstacles to mount, and deepens the characters as they get through each one. Jude is patient and loving, the best kind of book boyfriend. Olena has some baggage and together they find their way. It's a little angsty, a lot romantic and a really, really good listen.
Victoria Connolly and Benjamin Sands are perfectly cast for this story. Connolly has a voice that gives Olena every emotion. She climbs into Olena's head and finds all the feelings and with a nuance in her voice let me know exactly how she was feeling. Sands has that warmth in tone, the kind Jude needs to be the loving man he is. These two brought this story alive and gave a fabulous performance.
