About this listen
In the ultra-modern city of Olympus, there's always a price to pay. Psyche Dimitriou knew she'd have to face Aphrodite's jealous rage eventually, but she never expected her literal heart to be at stake...or for Aphrodite's gorgeous son to be the one ordered to strike the killing blow.
Eros has no problem shedding blood. Raised to be his mother's knife in the dark, he's been conditioned to accept that he's more monster than man. But when it comes time to take out his latest target...he can't do it. Confused by his reaction to Psyche's unexpected kindness, he does the only thing he can think of to keep her safe: He binds her to him, body and soul.
Psyche didn't expect to find herself married to the glittering city's most dangerous killer, but something about Eros awakens a fire inside her she's never felt before. As lines blur and loyalties shift, Psyche realizes Eros might take her heart after all...and she's not sure she can survive the loss.

Fabulous story, mismatched performances
The story is fantastic, interesting, empowering and spicy. In my opinion, the Dark Olympus books just keep getting better as they go. However the artists narrating the books don’t fit their roles. The male voice in particular sounds incredibly pretentious, and almost like he’s doing a caricature.

Fantastic
I absolutely loved this book. A great follow on to the amazing Hades and Persephone story in Neon Gods (which is even hotter than this one!).
Whilst Hades had a dark reputation, Eros is actually a bad guy but still has redeeming features.
Great LGBTQ representation, which is a must have given the Greek gods setting. I wasn't familiar with the original Greek story but this series prompted me to do some reading up and I think it's a great modern retelling with some nice references to the original.

A beautiful, intoxicating story
I loved loved loved every moment of this story! It had everything I could want in a contemporary romance set within the context of Greek Mythology and so much more!!
The story has the perfect amount of romance and passion and a gorgeous plus-size main character!! Writers need to learn from Katee Roberts - this is how to create a real woman. I loved Psyche Dimitriou
and her sizzling marriage of convenience to Eros. They’re stunning together!
The author’s writing is absolutely enthralling and I just can’t wait for the next book.
Also, both narrators are amazing! I feel it’s important to mention that, as they can often make or break an audiobook. The characters really came to life through them.
My full review will be on my Amazon account, goodreads or bookstagram @starlight_and_blooms. Links to review will be in the bio there.

Loved this book so much
I finished Electric Idol and started right back at the beginning, because I enjoyed the book so much. The readers are excellent and the story extremely gripping. I particularly enjoyed the female lead, as she didn’t fit into the “perfect heroine” mould and yet filled it brilliantly. I actually found her very relatable, which I didn’t see coming from a book in my smut library.
The world of Dark Olympus is still as fantastic as ever. The world building in the first book really drew me in and this instalment just adds to that.
Would really recommend this to anyone who enjoys steamy romance!

Enemies-to-lovers...
A steamy, modern retelling of the myth of Eros and Psyche. Fast-paced romance, sizzling chemistry, and a touch of danger, the story is perfect for fans of enemies-to-lovers tropes and morally gray characters. An irresistible addition to the Dark Olympus series. Not as gripping as Book 1 however.
