Summary

When my mother approached me on my 33rd birthday with a brochure for egg freezing, it was a glaring reminder that my biological clock is ticking toward its expiration date. I've always dreamed of being a mom and had a plan - one that was destroyed when I caught my professional hockey player husband in bed with another woman.

Despite my broken heart, I still believe in love. I want the happily ever after, but I also want a child desperately and won't settle in order to make it happen. That's why when I decided to take my mother's advice, Christian came up with his own plan: Let's have a baby together.

It's a bad idea. A really, really bad idea. And yet...I can't stop thinking about how great it could be. There's just one condition. Before we have sex (oh, yes, we're doing this the old-fashioned way!), Christian is adamant we go on three dates. Sounds easy, but it's not. I thought sex would be the hard part, but the dates are only making me fall for the man I've known almost my entire life.

Whoever said sex doesn't change things never went to bed with their best friend.

Contains mature themes.

Very slow burn but sweet, hot and deeply romantic.

A lovely story with believable characters, some hot chemistry and some of the best lines for a happily ever after… a great read.

A nice little summer listen

I liked this book. It was an easy listen, with not too much drama, no cringe worthy scenes (I dont like those romance books that are full of the too awkward scenes). Nothing extra special, but as long as you dont take it too seriously, and dont expect too much of it, it is very enjoyable. I kinda want a Christian in my life. And his father tobbe the father of many of my generation's men.

not for me

I loathe to say this but I did not enjoy this story. As an avid romance listeners I know that there are only so many original story line to tell, a bit like there are only 12 octaves in music. That being said , I was irritated that the female vocal did most of the story telling as I am not a fan of female vocal only books.

The story itself was just too predictable and by chapter 5 I was just about ready to skip to the end and be done with this listen. Sadly I am returning this book
