About this listen
A mythic warrior who'll stop at nothing to possess her....
After enduring years of torture from the vampire horde, Lachlain MacRieve, leader of the Lykae Clan, is enraged to find the predestined mate he's waited millennia for is a vampire. Or partly one. This Emmaline is a small, ethereal half Valkyrie/half vampire, who somehow begins to soothe the fury burning within him.
A vampire captured by her wildest fantasy....
Sheltered Emmaline Troy finally sets out to uncover the truth about her deceased parents - until a powerful Lykae claims her as his mate and forces her back to his ancestral Scottish castle. There, her fear of the Lykae - and their notorious dark desires - ebbs as he begins a slow, wicked seduction to sate her own dark cravings.
An all-consuming desire....
Yet when an ancient evil from her past resurfaces, will their desire deepen into a love that can bring a proud warrior to his knees and turn a gentle beauty into the fighter she was born to be?

Robert Petkoff is amazing
I listen to a fair few audiobooks and I don't know how Robert is able to do so many accents, keep the pace and make the listener understand all the nuances with such ease, but he does! Coupled with the fact that this is my all time fave Kresley Cole book, and I'm one happy camper!

The first of many favourites..
I have read all the paperbacks and now I am reliving them again on Audio; what a pleasure! Robert Petkoff is wonderful. He enhances the book to a higher level and I have found a greater joy in listening to the wonderful, witty and exciting content. Kresley Cole is so clever as she can make you choke up one moment and laugh out loud the next.
Wonderful start to a series that I am collecting one by one, in order is a must, for me at least!

amazing narration. ok story.
I wasn't totally 100% into this story as I was for the previous book. But it did keep me listening to the end. I think it's mainly down to the narrator who was absolutely brilliant

New Author to Me - Loved It
Would you listen to A Hunger Like No Other again? Why?
I will listen it again. The strength of the writing shines though.
Any additional comments?
There were some very raw sexual scenes which is not something I would normally listen to but the strength of the story carried them easily. I will be trying more books in the series in the hope they don't become formulaic.

Great book, really great narrator
Read this series years ago and, now that Munro is finally out, I’m re-“reading” them all as audiobooks. Loved the story back then, LOVE the narrator telling it now.
This is a slow-burn PNR with a hero who starts as a total jerk, though he has reasons. That doesn’t excuse his behavior, but once they MCs start to grow on each other, it’s a great story.
Kresley Cole always focuses on plot, and though it’s pretty steamy, the focus is on the plot and romance.

Fantastic book
If you could sum up A Hunger Like No Other in three words, what would they be?
Fantastic, Addictive, Unmissable
What other book might you compare A Hunger Like No Other to, and why?
In a way, there isn't another book like this. The book holds it's own in so many different ways and I couldn't think to compare it with another.
What about Robert Petkoff’s performance did you like?
The narration of the story is done incredibly well, and he certainly can do the accents. His only downfall is, there are so many female characters, and whilst that would be difficult for most people to do, he doesn't have the right voice to do a female voice.
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
A love hotter than any flame.
Any additional comments?
The story itself is amazing, I 1st had this in paperback, I read it over and over again. Unfortunately now I don't get as much time to read, but having it in audio form means that i now can pretty much take it anywhere. I'd recommended to listen to this book at least once. There are some really hilarious moments, and the relationship between Emma and Lachlain will keep you on the edge of your seat 1 minute, and falling madly in love the next. Kresley Cole transports you into a whole new world, one with plenty of mystery, suspense, laughter, and of course passionate romance. Even if this isn't your sort of book, there's bound to be at least 1 in the immortals after dark series that will enchant you as it has me.
