Inspired by dreams, music, quantum physics, and nature, Matteini writes about light and dark and the connection between all things. He has published a book of poems, entitled Us, and was the recipient of a Literary Titan gold award for The Peace Quaternity, a collection of two poems and two historical fiction short stories. His writing on sustainability can be found in the CPA Journal, and his short story “Tooths" was published in the Mug of Woe. Lucid is his debut novel. Matteini finds it mind-blowing that one day he crossed paths with the woman who would become his wife and the mother of his children, when the day before they had no knowledge of the other’s existence. He is forever grateful to the musicians, writers, actors, and filmmakers who have inspired him over the years and continue to inspire him. He resides in Colorado Springs with his wife, two sons, two dogs, and cat.
