This is a collection of poems about figuring out who you are, and the implications of realizing that you don’t experience the world the way other people do. It explores gender and sexuality, and the ways in which these things affect our relationships with others, as well as our perceptions of ourselves. I wrote these poems to help myself accept who I am, and now I hope that they may help other nonbinary and asexual people feel less alone in this world.

Ben Black must grapple with the knowledge that his quest is about much more than helping Carrie. Along with the weight of this responsibility, and its implications for the people around him, is the issue of his escape from police custody and the fact that he is now being hunted more vehemently than ever. He meets new allies, both human and otherwise, and is gifted with insight into his own past and his destiny. As he struggles to embrace this destiny, Ben also learns that the forces working against him may be even more formidable than he thought.

In this second volume of the Black Magick series, Ben Black (formerly Ben Harrison) continues his search for a way to rescue his girlfriend, Carrie, who has become trapped in another world. His stay with the healer, Jacob Weston, has cured him of the illness inflicted by the demon who took Carrie, and helped him to understand his own ability to communicate with the other side, but he is still poorly prepared for the trials before him.

In this final volume of the Black Magick series, Samhain draws near, and Ben and his friends are still at a loss as to how they are going to complete the monumental task before them. With no other leads, they go in search of the mysterious Stone that has been haunting Ben’s subconscious. Even if they are able to find the Stone, they will still need the remaining archetypes if they are to have any chance of rescuing Carrie, and preventing Camille from unleashing a great evil into the world.

Ben Harrison was well on his way to having the life he always wanted. He had a high-paying job, a great apartment and, most importantly, he had Carrie. She was fun, exciting, creative, beautiful, and a bit eccentric. Carrie had a fascination with the occult, which Ben found irrational but not particularly troubling.

With time growing short, Ben Black and his newfound family must rush to find answers. This fourth volume of the Black Magick series finds them seeking the help of old friends, powerful allies, and dubious acquaintance, in order to not only rescue Carrie, but prevent Camille from unleashing evil into our world.
