We all know a person who continuously tells lies - sometimes to paint a better picture of themselves, sometimes they are simply just trying to please everybody. Steph Dawson is a typical 16-year-old coming to the end of her time at school. She often lies without thinking. This is the second in the Liar Girl series of short but hilarious books about a 16-year-old girl growing up. It is told in a first person narrative to give the listener an idea of how it feels to be the person telling the lies and having to face the inevitable consequences.

This is the first book in the Liar Girl series telling the story of 16-year-old Stephanie Dawson from Rhyl in North Wales. She just can't stop telling lies and whilst they may only start as small lies, they quickly become bigger and bigger and she has to cover these with more lies. This is both funny and also dramatic, as you are left wondering just how many she will get away with.
