The Irish are arguably the most literate people in the world. The number of famous Irish authors, from Joyce to Trevor and from Goldsmith to O'Brien, is a clear testimony to that. In this rich selection, we have concentrated on some of the early Irish writers who were particularly adept at the difficult art of writing good short stories.

The short stories of Irish writers appeal to audiences far beyond the shores of Eire. These stories, in turn atmospheric, spookily funny, full of intriguing characters, picturesque, and touching, are steeped in the Irish delight in story-telling and cover an intriguing century of Irish city and country life.

In January 2017, President Donald Trump signed an executive order halting all refugee admissions for 120 days and temporarily barring entry from seven Muslim-majority countries. Mass protests followed, and the order has since been blocked, revised and challenged by judges, politicians, activists and artists alike. But the battle is not yet over, and in the wake of recent terrorist attacks in the UK, Trump has renewed calls for the ban.

Given the simple prompt "hello winter", nine writers were given the task to create a new short story to be put into this collection. This unique group of stories were all crafted in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic and brings writers from two continents and five states together when we all must stay safely apart. Short stories included in this collection: "The Essential Guide to Happiness" by Mindi Dickstein, "Teddy" by Ronald Keaton, "The Snow Queen" by Theresa Heskins, " Le Cygne" by James DeVita, "In the House She Was Given" by Mallory Jane Weiss, and more.

The first installment of the Russian Collection for Kids series includes stories of strange creatures and fascinating journeys through unlikely places. Volume two invites its young listeners to visit with all sorts of animals and to explore different professions.

VOICES: a sacred sisterscape, spearheaded by Grammy-nominated poet aja monet (When The Poems Do What They Do), is an audio experience of stories written by, narrated by, and centering Black women across the diaspora.
