  • PHLY Flyers Postgame: Frost & Flyguys open big lead on Vegas, lose in shootout
    Nov 26 2024

Morgan Frost and Sean Couturier gave the Flyers a 2-0 lead in the first period and Emil Andrae netted the first goal of his career before the 30-second mark of the 2nd to put Philadelphia up 3-0 on the Pacific-leading Golden Knights.

But Vegas made the game 3-2 before Matvei Michkov restored the 2 goal lead, but before the 2nd expired Vegas was once again within a goal, trailing 4-3.

Vegas tied it in the 3rd, and despite a ton of late chances for the Orange & Black in the 3rd and throughout OT, Jack Eichel and Ilya Samsonov were too much to overcome in the shootout.

Charlie, Bill & JP break down the loss and the efforts of Michkov, Frost, Farabee & Fedotov.

  • Through 20 games, what have we learned about Matvei Michkov & this year’s Philadelphia Flyers?
    Nov 21 2024

Twenty games into the 2024-25 season, the Philadelphia Flyers are 8-10-2 (.450). Matvei Michkov is leading all rookies in goals and points. Travis Konecny is continuing his scoring pace of the previous 2 seasons. Travis Sanheim looks more and more like a top-pair defenseman. Ivan Fedotov has had his ups and downs.

Beyond that, it feels like we need a lot more time to figure out exactly what to make of some of this team’s younger players.

Charlie & Bill debate passing judgements on Tyson Foerster, Noah Cates, Aleksei Kolosov, Morgan Frost and more!

The Philadelphia Flyers played a fairly solid first 40 minutes against a very good Carolina Hurricanes team, but failure to pull the trigger on some chances came back to bite Philly in the 3rd, as the Canes surged for 3 goals in the first 7 minutes of the final frame to put the game on ice.

  • How can Flyers evaluate wingers like Michkov & Foerster without any centers?
    Nov 19 2024

Philadelphia Flyers fans and analysts came into the season with high expectations for a lot of individuals. Most of those individuals were wingers- Matvei Michkov, Tyson Foerster, Joel Farabee, Owen Tippet, and Bobby Brink.

Those wingers have had varying degrees of success, but one constant in Philly’s lineup is the inability of any center to generate any offense.

Charlie, Kelly & Bill discuss the lack of centers in the organization, as well as the injuries and roster questions that have come up over the last few weeks.
