  • Summary

  • My conversation today is with Leah Crawford. Leah is an educator, a mother, and a wife -- all roles she holds in the highest regard. She is passionate and has a caring heart and spirit. She continues to consider, learn, and grow through this life and is humble in her acceptance of praise. We discuss growing up and losing her father at a young age and its impact on her. We also get into what it was like raising her three Black children in a predominantly white school. In the episode Leah makes the choice to send them first to a private school. After earning her degree in education, she moves them to the public school she works which is in an affluent district. What we touch on at the end is the state of our educational system today and the unjust ways of those systems.  All the schools we speak about are in St. Louis, Missouri.
