  • HOW GRATITUDE CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!!
    Jun 24 2022

On this episode of Break Room Talk, Janet and I talk about gratitude and how it has helped us live a more positive life and happy life. It’s important to be grateful for everything that you have even if it’s the most smallest and minimal thing in your life because you never know when you might not have access to that thing anymore. We take something so simple like a comfortable bed and a warm shower for granted that we forget to be grateful for those things because it’s something so normal. However, normal is different for everyone and that warm shower and comfortable bed doesn’t come as normal for others. After implementing gratitude in my daily routine, I noticed a huge shift in my life and it was truly blissful! I invite you all to incorporate small gratitude practices into your daily routine and see it changes your life for the better.

  • EQUANIMITY - THE BUDDHIST PRACTICE FOR A CALM MIND
    Jun 16 2022

On this episode of Break Room Talk, we discuss equanimity with our very special guest ELIZABETH!!!! There is an article that Elizabeth shared with us and on this article, Equanimity is defined as one of the most sublime emotions of Buddhist practice, is the ground for wisdom and freedom and the protector of compassion and love. One of my favorite things mentioned on the article is the way The Buddha describes a mind filled with equanimity which is, “abundant, exalted, immeasurable, without hostility, and without ill-will.” There are many methods out there that can help one keep a well balanced, calm, and grounded state of mind and Equanimity is one of them. Having the ability to not be so reactive to things that are out of your control is a wonderful skill to master. We definitely recommend all of our listeners to check out the article and have feel of what Equanimity is. Thank you so much for listening and I hope you enjoy this topic as much as we did! <3

  • SHOULD A RELATIONSHIP BE 50/50 OR 80/20?!?!?!
    Jun 9 2022

On this Episode of Break Room Talk, Janet and I speak about relationships and how we believe relationships should be. Should a man pay for everything? Should a man pay for the first date? If he doesn't, does that mean that he's not a provider? Tune in to our new episode and see what we believe it should be. Popular opinion, women believe men should pay for first dates but why can't we treat men too? Is it selfish of women to expect for men to pay for first dates or every date? Let us know what you guys think in our DM's on IG. We would love to hear your opinions on this topic!

  • WHY SETTING BOUNDARIES IS IMPORTANT!!
    Jun 2 2022

On this episode of Break Room Talk, Janet and I talk about setting boundaries with friends, family, coworkers, significant others, etc. It is so important to set physical, emotional, time, and intellectual boundaries with everyone so that you can have a balanced and peaceful life. Your mental health is highly affected by the boundaries you set with yourself and others. The lack of the proper boundaries can result in anxiety, depression, or codependency. Becoming self-aware of what you want from others is crucial to identify the boundaries you need to set, we hope that when you listen to this episode you begin setting boundaries with those around you. Remember, you are not mean or selfish for setting boundaries, stop feeling guilty and protect your peace! Drop them and find your peace! <3

  • DOES SOCIETY REALLY AFFECT YOUR LIFE CHOICES??
    May 26 2022

On this episode of Break Room Talk, Janet and I discuss how society affects our life choices or how it has shaped our way of thinking now as adults. We grow up believing in things our family or culture introduced to us and we kept those beliefs for so long but as we grow up and experience other cultures or see things on social media, we begin to question what we were taught or wanting to change what we were taught. It is very difficult nowadays to not compare yourself to people on social media and on this episode Janet and I want to remind all of you that not everything is what it seems! Also, don't forget about our giveaway on IG and DM us the answer to the question! Iykyk :)
