  • On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Matt Lichtenstadter(@MattsMusings1) to discuss the Panthers' 5-0 win over the league-leading Winnipeg Jets on Saturday where it was seen as more of a litmus test for Winnipeg than for Florida. The Panthers were the dominant team from the start as it was one of the many times this season where they had woken up following a loss. It came down to the top players leading the way with Aleksander Barkov and Sam Reinhart getting two points each, Gustav Forsling ended the evening with a +4. More importantly, the Panthers were exceptional with disrupting the Jets' breakouts and still were able to continuously throw the kitchen sink at Vezina Trophy favorite, Connor Hellebuyck. Florida had two former Jets Defenseman get in on the scoring in Nate Schmidt and Dmitry Kulikov, and Mackie Samoskevich got his first goal at Amerant Bank Arena. The two discuss how Sergei Bobrovsky delivers in the month of November on a consistent basis, where he got win number 405 on Saturday (and 45th shutout of his career) and how the Panthers will now go on a quick two-game road trip where they have not won in Winnipeg nor Chicago since Paul Maurice took over as coach. Saturday night proved that it's the Florida Panthers to defeat, until it isn't regardless of of if other teams have a better point percentage.
