Summary

If you like spirited heroines and strong heroes, dive into the Bachelor Brides Collection - a series of traditional Regency romances.

Rosalind - Despite her grand title, Lady Rosalind is destitute, desperate, and plagued by nightmares. She is determined to hold the blue-blooded men who contributed to her father's downfall to account for their actions.

Bored, restless, and guilt-ridden over the death of his own father and with his accusations of him being a selfish whelp still ringing in his ears, Lord Atherton heads off a Bow Street runner who is pursuing Rosalind, and in an altruistic act, he engages her to be a companion to his mother. Unaware that he has become the target of enmity from a desperate gambler from whom he has won a large sum of money, they are thrown into a series of increasingly dangerous situations.

Sophie - Sophie is an independent woman of means who has just emerged from her year of mourning. She has no interest in or any need of a husband. She is determined to remain independent and travel to the continent to further her studies of classical antiquity. Little does she know, however, that when she encounters the handsome but devout bachelor Sir Philip Bray, her life is about to change.

Katherine - Miss Katherine Lockhart is a woman of sense and reason. She has managed her brother’s household in an efficient manner for years. When he marries, she finds her position in his household increasingly untenable and is sent to Helagon, his property in Cornwall. She finds a derelict house, an untamed landscape, and a man with a wild past.

Harry, viscount of Treleven, has a zest for life and an irrepressible sense of humor. But when he returns home after five years in exile, eager to take up the threads of his old life, he finds they have been slowly unraveling in his absence.

When Miss Lockhart stumbles into his orbit, their lives become entangled in ways he had never imagined.

Stories to go back to!

I really enjoyed these stories, especially the fact that they carry on with the characters of the previous stories.
They are narrated beautifully by Helen Taylor, I could go back again and again to listen.
Very enjoyable.

2 out of 3 books very enjoyable

I've really enjoyed the other 6 books I've read by this author.
Rosalind and Katherine were well up to her usual standard. Sophie I found quite disappointing. Partly because the heroine is annoyingly perfect, talented and flawless. But mostly because it lacked a climax. The excitement of the plot ended when the characters returned to England and it felt like that should have been the end. Instead there were several more chapters of filler just to get the hero and heroine together. I had really lost interest by then and just wanted to move on to the next story. Katherine is the best of the three stories in this collection.

Very enjoyable

Lovely stories well narrated. Plausible stories that don't require gratuitous sex or bolshie heroines to sell them.

Finished too soon

Three stories you don’t want to end. Helen Taylor’s narration is lovely. Has everything I listen to audible books for. Looking forward to revisiting these again and searching for more of the same.

Very good

The performance is flawless. The stories are very good. Certain scenes have been ripped from Austen & Heyerdahl, but in a delightful way.

Excellent set of Regency Romances

These Regency Romances are well thought out and all 3 are totally different although they follow the Paths of 3 friends, each one very enjoyable.

Narrator was easy to listen to

The narration was very good and enhanced the stories. Unfortunately, for me, the stories needed all the help they could get.
