Entertaining sequel

This sequel picks up with Jono and his friends 2 years afer the first book.

This instalment leans more heavily on to conspiracies and tackling secret terrorist organization known as the Tombs. It has a bit of a slow start based around the school with usual classes and exercises to overcome. There is a stead build up in tension and the pace up to the action packed end.

Wayne Farrell carries on narrating the second book and does an amazing job. All unique voices with the correct tempo and passion needed to bring this great story to life.

This can be enjoyed by all ages but a little more focused towards the younger audience. If you enjoyed the first book you will not be disappointed with this sequel. Once finished you will be watching the calendar waiting for The Angels' Masquerade to be released on audiobook.

A Perfect Follow-up

This is a great follow up to the first book and if I'm honest it makes me really sad to think there's only one more book in the series so far for me to sink my teeth into. The book continues the story of Jono and the gang, still reeling from the battle at the end of the last book they're soon caught up in a tournament known as the Ambassador's Cup. I very much enjoyed it and it reminded me a lot of the Triwizard Tournament from Harry Potter, and I mean that as a complement. It's a great adventure that everyone should be reading and I'm going to be going straight onto book 3 while the gettings good!
