Summary

Fleeing from a vengeful king has sent the former NPCs across Solium's borders, into the kingdom of Alcatham. As wanted fugitives, they head to the small farming village of Briarwillow, hoping to blend in, lay low, and avoid trouble at all costs. Unfortunately, Briarwillow has problems all its own, and its troubles quickly become theirs. If they hope to survive long enough to escape, they'll have to tackle an all-but-forgotten mystery buried at the town's border as well as seek the wisdom of a mysterious group of mages. With time, magic, and at least one god against them, it will take everything they've got to save Briarwillow - and themselves.

Fantastic book

This is my second reading of this book in the last year. It's brilliant; full of fantasy, fun, and a little horror. I recommend the entire series.

Onwards & upwards

Brilliant follow up. The story is through provoking and moving while the players in the real world seem to be inching closer and closer to something. I can’t wait for the next book.

Great story, great characterful narration.

Great story, great characterful narration. Good separation of character voices and imaginative writing. Decent length and a few books in the series to go at.

Amazing 2nd book!!!

Wow I was really impressed by book 1 but book 2 seems to have surpassed the first book and exploded in a crescendo of excitement, worry, happiness and hunger for the next book. Amazing story and wonderfully performed by Roger. Definitely recommend.

Enjoyable but too short

Would you listen to Split the Party again? Why?

Very enjoyable book, great narration and leaves you wanting more.

What did you like best about this story?

Great Character development and setting you up for the second book in the series. This book is short and could have done with being a few hours longer but does set the scene expertly for the continuing saga

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes
