He tried to take my life. Instead I took his.

It happened so long ago, I've forgotten the details. But he was desperate, hungry enough to kill. As I was dying, my hand touched his. That's when my first switch took place.

I looked through the eyes of my killer just in time to see my own body die.

Now switching is easy. I can jump from body to body, have any life, be anyone. All it takes is a touch.

With Peter Kenny reading, Claire North's stories are helping to fill the gap left by Iain M. Banks.

Loved it.

I am looking forward to her next one. Simple.

A great story, and a fantastic reader.

Previous reviewers scared me away from purchasing this title. I finally bought it on a Daily Deal price last Sunday. And I did it well. I was absorbed by the novel, it kept me gripped from start to finishoffering me the necessary pauses to digest and think and then back to the story. Wonderful scenes from Turkey to New York, 3-dimensional characters and a superbe plot make 'Touch' a very enjoyable lecture. It suited perfectly for my present mood.
I found less logical errors in here than in Harry August and the basic idea is more credible. I am looking forward to a third novel by Claire North with great expectations. She's getting better in it!

However Mr. Kenny worsened considerably in performing this novel. He was intolerably overacting in the first half. His collection of foreign accents is rather poor and he sometimes forgets to use them when necessary. I think no listener would have been protesting if Mr. Kenny reads the whole novel with British accent. Please Peter don't do this again!
British actors often think they can make it with thick iron-curtain-accent and Frenchish bubbling. British listeners often think this is satisfactory. Good for them.

Better than Harry August

Like her preceding works, this book was a total page turner and I could not put it down. Great concept focussing on time and its value. You do have to concentrate to follow along with all the jumps and twists but it is well worth it.

Another great title by Claire North

An original idea but sometimes the story becomes repetitive, the few torture and shootout scenes leave a feeling that was written for an eventual film.

Peter Kenny great as usual! <br />

I'd say the first 60-70% of the book was very promising as the main idea of the plot along with stories from the characters past were very entertaining. The last couple of hours dragged and I went from dying to recommend the book to a friend to just, meh....

Great back story, poor main plot
