Your ability to change everything - including yourself - starts here
Chemist Elizabeth Zott is not your average woman. In fact, Elizabeth Zott would be the first to point out that there is no such thing.
But it's the early 1960s and her all-male team at Hastings Research Institute take a very unscientific view of equality. Forced to resign, she reluctantly signs on as the host of a cooking show, Supper at Six. But her revolutionary approach to cooking, fuelled by scientific and rational commentary, grabs the attention of a nation.
Soon, a legion of overlooked housewives find themselves daring to change the status quo. One molecule at a time.

Wonderful story
A wonderful story, beautifully written and excellently read by the narrator.
Moving, amusing, reflective and unexpected. A great read that I have recommended to all my friends. Women of a certain age will identify with the story and wish they had read it 40 years ago.

Enthralling story, beautifully narrated
Like so many reviewers I loved this book! The story was original and brought living as a woman in 1950’s and 60’s America vividly to life. The cerebral powers of Elizabeth Zott, her daughter and her dog might have been overstated, but they added to the richness of the narrative, and reinforced the huge gap between what women (and dogs!) were expected to do in this era,and what they were actually capable of. I am looking forward to the TV serialisation of this book, and to Bonnie Garmus’s novel.

Lessons in Chemistry
A stunning book, Elizabeth Zoth is inspiring on so many levels. I love the way she doesn’t edit what she thinks or filters what she says. A brave human being
