Bruce Montroy was born in Syracuse, New York and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He met his wife, Norma Kay Spohr, in high school and they were married when he was a sophomore at Northern Arizona University. After three years of studying toward a degree in Forestry, he transferred to Arizona Bible College, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible with a minor in Christian Education. He was ordained into the ministry in 1971, and has served the Lord in Bible, Baptist, Charismatic, Christian & Missionary Alliance, and Assembly of God churches. The Montroys have been married for over fifty seven years, and have three beautiful and Godly daughters, married to outstanding sons-in-law. , who have provided them with eleven unusually gifted grandchildren and six most adorable great grandchildren. Bruce and Norma have lived in Prescott, Arizona since 1980. Norma has assisted her husband as co-pastor, and in seminars on marriage and child rearing. She is a gifted preacher and teacher. Growing up in a godly home, Bruce had the advantage of regular Bible study, but continually battled “roller coaster” Christianity! His personal study became the thrust of his ministry – growing in mastery in the life of faith. After doing years of pastoral counseling and finding that most Christians struggle with the same problems, he was led to put together discipleship materials that approached Christian maturity in a practical way. Many believers struggle under a burden similar to what the Apostle Paul described in Romans chapter 7, without discovering the tremendous insight Paul shared as a result of his battle. The materials Bruce is assembling are down to earth and effective. The principles work because they are straight from God’s Word. In 1992, the author felt the Lord direct him to put together a vehicle to share this material – Royal Mountain Ministry. The Bible contains the keys to living a consistent, victorious Christian life.
