Gripping!
I listened to this book over one day and was really engrossed! The storyline was impeccably crafted, the characters came to life for me and it was beautifully narrated. Sometimes the readers' voices on Audible books don't somehow match the characters and irritate me, but in this instance it all worked perfectly. The book's ending had me guessing and - if I have one small grouse - should have stretched out a bit more so that we could find out what happened to the perpetrator! I guess I wanted the book to go on a bit longer!

Talk about twists!
Wow, I definitely didn't see the ending coming. I have read a couple of K. L. Slater books before and enjoyed them but this one, for me, has been the best. The mind games played by the two main characters makes me wonder what's going on in the author's mind. I highly recommend this book.

Well written with nice twists
I am a keen Audible listener and was tempted to try this one due to good reviews. Well narrated and a book that draws you in to the various characters. Recommend.

book without a conclusion....!
it was ok but long winded and I guessed the ending! Bit perplexed that there's no conclusion! its like to author got bored and could not be bothered to finish the story.... too much stuff missed out and too much inconsequential stuff added to bulk it out.

Couldn't stop listening!
I have to admit I really enjoy audiobooks by K L Slater & this one didn't disappoint ! Lucy Price-Lewis' narration is fantastic, as always, creating believable voices for all characters. This audiobook will keep you interested, entertained & often mystified from start to finish. Without spoilers, you'll enjoy a fabulous twist.

A little slow in story and narration
Story line is ok but characters ore a bit stereotypically sickly sweet. Too many words. Story too slow for me. After an hour I had to listen in 1.25 speed then maybe 20 more minutes I skipped to the last 10 mins. Didn’t feel I missed anything.
I’m quite new to listening to fiction so can’t rate it against other audio fiction.
