Missing words and names mid sentence ruined this

Classic story that was in general narrated well but I became infuriated by the repeated oddity of place names simply omitted mid sentence. There was also other fluffs such as repeated paragraphs. Call me pedantic but these just ruin the flow of a story for me. I would be tempted to try one of the other versions of this if you're likely to feel similarly.

at the start the narrator has an American accent. by the end no such accent is in e evidence. sounds all wrong. acting of parts is not very good.

A solid piece of work

A well-loved story which barely needs review. Most people have ether read it or seen an adaptation (most of which are excellent) so no doubt your opinion on the work itself is decided. But the efforts of Emma Messenger on the narration shouldn't go unacknowledged; she makes light work of difficult reading material and her characters are brilliantly read and conducive to utter absorption.

Read very well

The character voices given to this book could have been jarring if done in an over the top way, but they have not been, and add to the story well. I did notice a few, not alterations, but additions of a few sentences to the book in places where the old fashioned language could be misunderstood for a modern audience. Not a flaw with this audio book, just a comment.

Already listened to multiple times!

A really good performance of a classic. However I would change Mrs Bennetts voice!

Brilliant except...

I thought the telling of such a fantastic story was well done by Emma Messenger, her voices an excellent description of each character and the narration clear and at a good pace. The one and only issue I have with this audiobook is that some odd words seem to have been omitted entirely; from what I could make out it was generally the names of places. While this did not entirely ruin the narration, it did detriment it slightly and was very noticeable when it occurred. Otherwise I thought it was brilliant!
