Summary

One man's untold story of Special Forces, including clandestine operations during the Rhodesian war.

A third-generation Rhodesian tells the story of his upbringing on a farm and his days learning to track and survive in the bush. Later, he would use this knowledge in operational conditions during the Rhodesian Civil War. In classic Special Branch style, you will not find an account of a unit called Pachedu in the history books, but it existed. There are historical facts with covert and overt operations which have never been made public. It is a story of trial, battle, friendships, and extraordinary life experiences during the bloody Rhodesian war.

A very engrossing story of that time in Rhodesia

I listen to a lot of books and thoroughly enjoyed this one.
Perhaps a familiarity with the territory helped me, but I thought it was engrossing and well read and would be appreciated by anyone.
One got a real feel for the man behind the story and the unwritten history of the time and I found myself seeking for familiarity in the places and people mentioned, and there would eb a good few.

I have no problem recommending this book to all and sundry.... Enjoy

The fight for a future that never was.

A great and insightful look at a war that has been shelved to the history books by the unsanitary West and their *nationalist proxy’s. A melancholic tale of a war for freedom and identity. To the author and the RSS, thank you for trying.

Good book, good narator

Very honest and straight. Author narrates well. There is no anmoying false accents and over-trying that you get with paid narrators. Loved it
