Summary
After his final trip up the river Thames with his three companions - - Harris, George, and Montmorency the dog - - Jerome K. Jerome sat down to write his proposed book, The Story of the Thames. But before he could tackle the work in the serious manner intended, his humor took over and gave birth to a masterpiece of unquenchable comedy. This is a classic of English humor, justifiably loved around the world.

Classic.
I remember readijng this as a child and laughing my head off. Old fashioned, tongue in cheek humour. Some dated bits but still enjoyable. Well read.

I no almost nothing about boats, but enjoyed this enormously!
Such a funny book, I can see why this became a classic. The meandering stories and anecdotes take you happily along the river with exertion from sculling at all. You could pick it up anywhere as it doesn’t really arrive anywhere. It’s the journey that matters.
