Summary
“The Last Letter is a haunting, heartbreaking and ultimately inspirational love story.“ (InTouch Weekly)
Beckett,
If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have.
I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride.
My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. It’s not fair.
And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart. She’s going to need help.
So if I’m gone, that means I can’t be there for Ella. I can’t help them through this. But you can. So I’m begging you, as my best friend, go take care of my sister, my family.
Please don’t make her go through it alone.
Ryan

Powerful
This book was so powerful, emotive, beautiful and beyond any more words. This is the first book I have openly sobbed at, that warmed my heart then broke it. I just cannot believe how incredible this book was.

Emotional roller coaster!!!
Unusual for me to pick up a book like this. I am a thriller, crime kinda gal and decided I needed something different at this point for a break. I randomly picked this and I loved it!!! This could be turned into a wonderful movie if done right. Take what you will but I do believe in things happening for reasons !! Enjoy!!

Bittersweet
A lovely story. There’s happiness and sorrow. Perfectly captures emotions. Some steamy scenes. A great listen. Would make a good movie.

Had me in floods!
Thoroughly enjoyed this heart wrenching book. Not my usual genre of read, but glad I gave it a go, as it was an easy listen, with nice characters who sucked the empathy from me by the bucket!

Wow
My first Rebecca Yarros book and OMG what a beautiful story. A tearjerker that hit me in the feels in the last hour, but a beautifully written story I will definitely listen to again - almost in the hope that I can do so without blubbering. I would almost like a sequel, but I think the book stands up on its own. Off to find more books from this author.

On the fence about this ? Go for it!! It’s such a beautiful story. (Be prepared to cry!) I didn’t really like the voice of the male narrator in the beginning, but it quickly changed. Both of the narrators were great!

Real tear jerker
Loved this book. Was expecting a run of the mill heartwarming romance but this is so much more. Read with a box of tissues because this book will tear your heart out in places but it is worth the read even if it's not the usual hea you'd expect.

Damn that ending.
Rebecca is such an accomplished author, one who gives with one breath, and takes away in the next. She lays all her cards on the table and you don't know it until you're sobbing your heart out on the afternoon school run.
Beckett and Ella "meet" in the unlikeliest of ways. Both surrounded in sadness and tragedy and that sadness and tragedy follows them in places throughout the book. Don't let that put you off though! There are plenty of happy, hopeful moments and the story ends with a (mainly) happily ever after. Well worth the tears. Sigh.
