Tales of Racism and Misogyny
Robert E Howard was recommended to me as a writer in the style of Lovecraft. Sure, Lovecraft is racist, but these stories are an order of magnitude of racism above Lovecraft. They are terrifying: the views he holds are truly horrific, the stories themselves pretty lame. I tried to get through the first one, but couldn't stand it.
