Toby Gutteridge was only 24 when he was shot through the neck while operating behind enemy lines in Afghanistan. He survived despite not breathing for at least 20 minutes. This is a great listen.

phenomenal story from a phenomenal person.
at times very hard to listen to as I found it very upsetting but always inspirational, Toby is a remarkable man, honest, humble, resilient to a degree that is hard to fathom, an essential read. you'll laugh, cry, get angry, sad, inspired!

Inspirational
This was hard to listen to as you always try to block out what could happen, bury the head in the sand. I feel Party ashamed for thinking such things but for most of the book I wondered why he didn’t just end his life and stop the suffering. Thankfully his mind is stronger than the average human and he’s dedicated his life to helping others. What an incredible inspiring human.
