Running away from home at 17 wasn't easy. Let's face it, though, nothing before or in the ten years since has ever been easy for me. And I'm doing okay—sorta. I just need to keep scraping by, living under the radar. Staying out of people's way, off people's minds.

The first time I took a man's life, I knew there'd be no going back, no normal existence in the cards for me. Instead of walking away, I climbed a mountain of bodies and created my own destiny by forming The Alliance. And I was fine with that, content enough to carry on.

I should've walked away. Should've gone right back out the door I came through. But I didn't. And now her life is in danger. That's the thing about being a bad man. I'll happily paint the streets red to protect what's mine.

Love Nero!
I loved Nero on Kindle and I loved him even more narrated by Jack Calihan. One of my favourite books and the perfect audiobook

Good start to series
This was a good start maybe just a bit too insta for me they went from 0-100 in about 3 meetings but overall pretty good

So good
I was really surprised how much I liked the storyline. But I would have wished that man speaks for man and woman for woman and not mixing. Overall good listening and can recommend!

The start to a great series
I have read all 3 books that are currently released in this series but as preparation for book 4 Hans release I decided to listen to the audio book throughout December .

He wants her but can’t have her
I mean what’s not to love with those tropes.
Nero jumps onto Paytons balcony when trying to escape the authorities and he instantly becomes obsessed with her , watching her from a building over the road . He knows he wants her but also knows this will put her life in danger
Payton wants more of the mystery man she met one dark and stormy night but with a troubled past can she trust him .
Although a lot of the plot has dark moment there really are some comedy scenes particularly between Nero and King , There is just something about SJ Tilly’s writing that draws you in and leaves you needing more

Loved it
My first time listening to something written by S.J Tilly and I loved it.. The narrator Jack Calihan and Chloe Ryan really bought the characters to life.. The MMC was the right amount of bad, possessive, spice and love.. The thing I really liked was the FMC didn’t argue just bcoz she could and decline everything.. she accepted his love and went with it.. The love and spicy scenes were hot.. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️❤️

Nero really is a weirdo
I’ve read the book but didn't realize until I heard it how weak Peyton is. Out of all the women in this series, she is the weakest. Hearing it makes her annoying. But we'll worth the listen. Very nice performance. But I can not help but wonder, how do they feel when they read the spicy scenes out loud.
