Social skills & confidence guide that kids need!
As a longtime educator, I have seen the changes happening to kids in the age of technology. Many children are uncomfortable around peers, can't hold a conversation, and can't identify social cues. They spend more time on their devices and alone. This book provides key insights into the social skills and confidence needed to be happy and successful in life. These are not skills that go away once a computer is put in your lap. Teens and young adults need to be working at and building these skills.
The writing is well done, and the content is meaningful and approachable. The author explores common experiences in a way that teens will relate to. This is a great gift for teens, as it is such a struggle to make the necessary impact when you are the parent saying these same things. Allowing your teen to listen and absorb these lessons on their own, and supporting them with conversations, could be a great way to instill these important skills. If I had this book when I was a teen, I would have found this book supportive and helpful in establishing confidence and hearing open and honest information about my teen experiences. Having someone (not related to you) to tell you why things are happening and what it means for you, and how to embrace these years and confront daily challenges, is a very supportive resource.

Nice book for teens in this day and age!
Having social skills is crucial for young adults especially since we live in the technology age where everyone's face is buried in a phone or tablet. Building self-confidence and learning to make friends is essential and this book does a great job of helping teens do just that. We could all use some of these skills mentioned to improve our social skills. Highly recommended for all teens coming of age and applying it to the real world.

Truly Inspiring Book for Teens and Adults!
This book gives the listeners a profound understanding of who teens really are and how parents can help them. I specifically liked the chapter about bullying, trolling, and social media harassment. It's a timely topic that both teens and their parents should know how to navigate. The teenage years are a radical time of development and change physiologically, emotionally, and mentally. The more cognizant parents are of these changes, the more accepting, understanding, and supportive they can be of their teens. I'd highly recommend this book!

Really helpful book
I like that this book focusses on making GOOD friends – and outlines what good friends are. I think that the friends teenagers have are a reflection of themselves. Teens really need the advice in this book – it’s a great boost for self esteem and keeping them on the right track as they navigate this pretty complex world. Recommended.

Useful and Practical guide
I look after teens and always looking for resources to support them better.
This is a useful and practical guide for teens, especially in a world where they are faced with what feels like the whole world watching them in-person and now online. It’s an exciting but very vulnerable time in their life and this is a good book to help them navigate this time.

You learn something new…
I’ve wondered about the volatility of the adolescent experience. This book goes into depth regarding why it is that an adolescent may seem perfectly clear-minded one minute, then regress the next. It was fascinating to learn that the response to someone storming off saying they want to be alone can be a call for help and they may actually want a parent’s support, even though it seems like the opposite is true. There’s emphasis on Myers-Briggs so you’ll need to know the personality “type” for that section.

A really good book if you want to improve your social life! Filled with psychological techniques that will make you more likeable! I love the part about first impressions! I’ve used some of the methods already and noticed people smiling and asking for my number 😄
